thanks. :)

any suggestions on how it might be better?

there is one thing here that I am not sure if it works or not though, as it might cause an infinite loop of life gain.
so not sure how legal it is.

Something that buysback/fetches Pariah, maybe.

Yeah, if pariah leaves the field I am pretty hosed. hmmm... I shall look into it.

Replenish is good to bring pariah back, Greater Auramancy makes it stick, Sterling Grove would be better but requires a color splash.

Kazzong. Could you help me again with rules?

Two cards, new ones coming out:

Assault of the Dragons 4 plus 2 red
Sorcery
Target any amount of creatures. Destroy those creatures.
For each creatures destroyed, its controller puts one 4/4 red dragon token with flying into play

Dragon Tempest 1 plus 1 red
Enchantment
Whenever a with flying enters the battlefield under your control, it gains haste until end of turn.
Whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield under your control, it deals X damage to target player or creature, where X is the number of Dragons you control.

Here goes.

I have 5 1/1 Goblins in play and Dragon Tempest in Play.
I play Assault of the Dragons on the 5 1/1 Goblins.
What happens?
I end up with 5 4/4 flying haste dragons.
But how much damage (X damage) do I do to target player or creature?
Is it 25? 5 damage per each 5 dragons?

Trying to build a Modern version of Dragons of Tarkir when it comes out.

http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/dragons-of-tarkir/

Thinking
Turn 2. Dragon Tempest
Turn 3. Hordeling Outburst (3 1/1 Goblins)
Turn 4. Seething Song into Assault of the Dragons.
3 4/4 flying haste dragons and 9 damage done to opponent or opponent's creatures (if I am doing the math right) = 21 damage

ok, so this is interesting. I believe that you are correct.\ in that it does 5 per dragon.
it seems to work on the same principles as Scapeshift/Valakut, the molten peak.

I actually had a disagreement with someone on this, and it turned out that I was wrong. so now I know.

each dragon enters, and puts a trigger on the stack.
but it doesn't resolve until the last dragon enters and no more triggers are added.
then as long as no other effects are put onto the stack each trigger is resolved, and counts the number of dragons.

Thank you, Kazzong.
I always have to ask.
Wish I were better with understanding the finer details. :)

hey, like I said, I found out I was wrong on this the first time, when I argued about it. everyone can always learn new things. :)

man... I haven't been on here in ages. :( I need to keep working on the decks I have in progress.

You should play battlefield thaumaturge as well, since if you have 4 creatures Assault only costs 2 red.

This does seem awesome... I wonder what deck it will fit into...

interesting. as you can target and destroy with Descent (not assault. I looked at the linked page) of the Dragons, and it isn't sacrifice... yeah. thaumaturge might be fairly useful. although it is blue.

I have been talking to others. Thaumaturge is neat.
I am thinking going red and green.
Green because stuff like Llanowar Elves and Birds of Paradise will speed up my mana AND can be sacked to make 4/4 flying haste dragons.

Thinking Turn 4 win.
Modern
When is Dragons of Tarkir officially releasing on mtgvault?
I always like to be one of the first people before I look like I copied ideas, you know?

This is true. Seeing as its a two card combo it really can work... though modern shell it can fit into doth not exist.... apart from jund...
