How do we beat eldrazi in modern? Play red. Artifact removal is at a premium in a format dominated by chalice of the void, ratchet bomb, aether vile, and affinity. 8-rack OG is a great deck, but mono black lacks many of the important meta-specific answers offered by red, namely kolaghan's command and blood moon. This version deviates from the classic version in that it doesn't care about liliana. She's great, fantastic, but we'd rather dome our opponent with blightning for the same cost. This deck is essential working as a prison list. Raven's Crime turns mid-late game lands into fuel, reducing the number of lands that get stuck in our hand from dark confidant draws to maintain the ensnaring bridge lock.
