Deck discussion for Melek My Chances

Umm, you need creatues because no matter how many counterspells you have, in a 5-6 player game, someone's gonna get out some huge beater and you'll have maybe one blocker if Melek is out, and a 2/4 isn't much against a 16/16 Rafiq with doublestrike and trample. I strongly suggest adding creatures, if only so you don't get totally trampled over. Guttersnipe, Goblin Electromancer, Hypersonic Dragon, Niv-Mizzet, etc.

This is a really good deck, one of my "friends" in my local playgroup had a deck very similar to yours. I wish my memory was better but since it is what it is I can't remember very much of it at all. I do know that he used 0 creatures main deck and had the proteus staff trick going on with melek. I know that you are aware of how the win comes after you use proteus staff and melek but I will enlighten those that are not aware (and because you did not explain in the how to play area). Essentially you get to set your deck up the way you want it (some players scoop after this happens) then you can do lots of things including playing cards in your hand without paying any mana to do so (if Omniscience is out), take multiple turns in a row, return all non land permanents you don't control to their owners hands, proceed to counter most spells after the c rift, gain control of all creatures at least for a turn so you can lay down some big beats. Early on in games (if other players don't know what is going to happen to them) the melek player will be left alone, due to the fact that he is not much of a threat. But if the melek player is allowed to gather some steam and get into the mid to late game then it's all over. I hate that I can't give any card suggestions but I will say that the build looks solid and I like it.
