Deck Description

A brew I came up with for a deck that basically tells the opponent that they have to pay tons of mana to do anything and by the time they happen to get a board state, you'll just fog away the damage their creatures do. If it gets to the late game, the opponent will realize that they're just about to be milled out with you at 130 life.

How to Play

[T1,2]- Temple, land pass, fog if they're on mono red and can do >3 damage that turn.
[T3]- Hold mana for a dictate flash at eot unless they're on control.
[T4]- Aggro opponent: Hold fogs and pass or play Archangel if it's safe to do so. Control opponent: Play your Vryn Wingmare.
[T5]- Tutelage against aggro decks and save two mana for a fog. Control decks can counter this by now even with Wingmare out, so just pass after playing your land and attacking.
[T6]- Ephara will do some real work for you with Tutelage out once you start flashing in Chimera against aggro decks while providing an indestructible blocker if you happen to have the devotion to make her a creature. Your opponent gets two mill triggers per the Dictate's/Tutelage ability going off and you drawing two cards. If you're up against control, wait to flash in another Dictate at the end of their turn.
[T7]- Now that you'll be drawing three cards per turn, it's important to try to reset with Day's Undoing. (if you don't have Wingmare out, otherwise you will need 8 mana (with some possibly stored on your Mage-Ring Network?) This will trigger Ephara, allow you to flash in Chimara in response and draw a total of ELEVEN cards and gaining ELEVEN life on your turn, hopefully milling half or more of the opponent's deck even though they get to shuffle their graveyard back. This usually instantly wins the game if you also resolved the Archive since you'll be doubling each number. THIS IS YOUR WIN CONDITION! Monocolored decks are a huge loser in this matchup, as it's HIGHLY likely you could mill their entire deck with just one Day's Undoing.

Control is a tough matchup for this deck, as resolving your threats and prison creatures is KEY to making the combo work. Pearl Lake Ancient/Gaea's Revenge, and Clash of Wills are all great ways to pump your excessive mana into keeping those nasty Ashioks and Ugins off the board, as those two cards REALLY hurt your gameplan.
