Nice to see a modern version of my old standard deck. Nothing like a turn 4 infinite combo to mess around with.

That's what palinchrons untap up to 7 lands is for...you only need 2 blue sources...

You have uses for deadeye w/o palinchron. However deadeye can't put counters on animar. It is possible to go Infinite mana and animar +1/+1 with just animar and palinchron.

Would highly suggest putting deadeye + palinchron in the deck along with God of the forge.

I have a feeling that this is more of a list of cards that if you meet the conditions, you can cast for no Mana. Not an actual deck.

Have you thought about using drownyard Temple from SOI? Goes great with gitrog.

The main combo is turntimber ranger + xenograft...with Goma, hagra and guide to assist.

Thanks for the input. Don't have a lot of cards rare wise in standard. Built a random grixis madness from a box of SOI. Slimming it down to rakdos is most likely my best option at this time. I like playing control and decks light on creatures...

Contemplating doing game day SOI at my lgs tomorrow (or today). Thoughts on what I should play and what I should expect? Haven't played in any 1v1 tournaments in awhile so I don't know the meta. Format is standard... I'm at the mercy of the cards I do have, though any help is appreciated.

Comment noted padfoot. Slip through space actually is a decent suggestion along with expedite. Both replace themselves when used so you don't lose card advantage. The question is how to add them to the deck...

Mutagenic Growth is one of those spells that's to be expected with infect. Normally used in modern. It's legacy counterpart invigorate is even better.
