It's not worth trying to tutor in modern. I think that you should sb the board wipes (cyclonic rift, etc).

I miss playing Jeskai semi miracle control when it was standard. I might work on that for modern since melira pod got hammered. Heck, maybe I should toss living end together.

I still think adding ornithopter for infinite mana would be hilarious. Mostly because my rakdos deck could get rid of the altar, making the mill win con void.

Each person has there own play style. Gothy is good with aggro, combo, midrange (at least what I've seen or played against), while I'm good with control, combo, midrange. It's all a mental point of view.

And the consistency issue is why even though they could win turn 3 (depending on what version) it was dubbed a turn 4 win.

No testing done yet. If I could update cockatrice I could test it out. I'm trying to fit 2-3 rabble into the deck. The token it makes would take care of the attack step.

I know it's not a bird, but pride of the clouds would work well in this deck.

I've always been a big fan of dismember. I run a single copy in my pride of the clouds deck. Snapcaster mage and remand are great if you can get them.

The block issue is not why it is in the deck. Being able to cast it from the grave is a big plus for this deck.

Your how to play is incorrect. Might as well toss in ornithopter for Inf mana.
