Deck discussion for Shadow of a Doubt

The white Shadow creatures are definitely rated higher.
Who knew that!?
Not me!

The Champion definitely has to stay.
The Visionary is a must for enchantments.
The monk is hard to remove.
The Warlord for the win.
Ghoul for huge potential.

What sorts of spells are you going to add?

Shadow Slice shows promise. Sword of Light and Shadow, maybe. Vampiric Link. Night's Whisper.
Wraith of God/Damnation. Hatred, though double mana, could be brutal with Shadow.

Maze of Shadow. Land, should be put in there, for sure!

Shadow Lance is a maybe.

Or put in creatures without shadow, and use stuff like Temporal Isolation. Phyrexian Splicer. Dauthi Embrace.
Putting a creature like Vampire Nighthawk in, and giving it shadow would rock.

Good luck!

I really like it. Shadow is such an awesome keyword in MTG.

And... You know that I really don't like "advertising" on other peoples' decks... But I thought you should check this out:

What is your plan for dealing with other people's decks? Shadow means you can't block creatures without shadow, so any other aggro deck can aggro back just as hard, and a lot of them are going to have more aggressively costed creatures. You're basically letting both sides attack for free, but the other deck could have creatures like Elite Vanguard or anything else with more power than cmc, which means they'll likely outrace you. You also ought to at least thin the number of creatures in the deck out, and build upon some of the more creatures with control effects (like the mindripper or visionary, which you only have 2 of)

Although 60 cards, the deck isn't finished. Any suggestions?

Basically, I don't think you need 38 creatures and basically no other spells. It means you have no response to anything the other player does. Since your creatures are essentially unblockable, but also unable to block, you might want to put in some things to prevent enemies from attacking, or some way to spread some lifelink around (spirit loop on the warlord, maybe?). Some things to protect your creatures or buff them on the attack as well would be good as well; something like +1/+1 to all creatures can add up if you have several creatures.

You also probably ought to get some stuff that abuses shadows essentially unblockable nature. I don't know what of that is good in WB but I'm sure there's some. The Swords of ___ and ___ work as well; you could run a playset of two in deck and three in sideboard to customize which ones you want. Quietus Spike can help nuke a players life total, etc, etc.

Dude, you have a deck full of 2-power unblockable creatures. One of your fastest wins is, like, turn 6. Furthermore, you can't even block, so you're counting on Vindicate to do some heavy leg-work, even though it's at sorcery speed. Shadow is an abusable mechanic, and it's certainly unique, but a deck full of Tormented Souls isn't going to win you the game.

Honestly, I got kinda busy and forgot that I hadn't finished the deck yet. Your comment is completely correct. Any suggestions?

Well, you could put in some enchantments or cipher cards. Shadow slice and Undercity Plague are both rather powerful. I prefer Mortify over Vindicate, just for the instant-speed power. Return to the Ranks or Immortal Servitude can buy back your small guys after a board wipe.
