I will be Honest I would use Lotleth Troll in modern myself, sure there are plenty of ways to kill him but he is a hard hitter!

varolz and death's shadow are just begging to be played together. Pretty cool deck, but it looks like it could still use some tweaking. Im not feeling the hellspark elemental and spark elemental though. i can see why your playing them, but they just seems subpar. i could very well be wrong though.im confused why deathrite is in the side? i cant see any reason why you wouldnt want him maindeck?
Ive been torn on where the deathrites should go. But, That's a lot of extra mana that I could use for Varolz and scavenging. As for the elementals, Spark elemental I want to stay in here unless you know of a better option. Otherwise, it's 3 damage going at them and 3 counters for Varolz for 1CMC.
