This deck is really creative. I've never heard of using Gideon as sacrifice fodder before. I feel like you could also try to pull off a more pure version of the strategy and run it as sort of a control deck with black removal etc., but I can see where you couldn't get quite enough damage out, and without blue; really effective total control can be tough. Really cool deck idea! I'd like to know how it does at FNMs or tournaments.

This is a pretty cool deck. I'm sort of confused by a few of the choices though. Namely Heliod and Lavinia of the Tenth. I'd appreciate it if you'd sort of explain this deck to me, as it seems pretty cool and I get some of the themes, but I'm not quite sure what its built to do.
I believe it. I'm swinging very hard early as well, but without my hidden passage Its usually only flying and/or "can't be blocked except for 2 or more creatures", so its not technically unblockable, but it works.
That might be interesting. With ash zealot, I have 2-symbol cards in both colors, so it might make the mana unreliable. I dunno, I could try it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Yeah, I see what you're saying about the double mana symbols. As for anti-removal, I run 4 Gods Willing in my sideboard and I always have Boros Charm, so it isn't so bad. This deck is somewhat similar to the standard one I built. I like the "fast and furious" Boros decks, as they are a lot of fun to play. I'd like to know if you've though about trying out Madcap Skills? Its one of my favorite cards in my deck, and it fits really nicely with the playstyle. I'd also like to ask if you've had any trouble with playing out your hand too early, due to the low mana cost? I understand that some of this can be helped by timing your instants and sorceries well, but a slightly higher mana curve might be something to try. Even going to a max CMC of 3 will give you access to cards like Gift of Orzhova (a star in my current deck) or Fabled Hero (yes, a rare, but a cheap one). Cool deck, and good luck!
This is a very intersting deck. I too am running a standard Boros deck, and I would like to share some of the things I have found. For one, Akroan Hoplite can be a very poweful card, but it requires many low-cost creatures on the field to reach its full potential. I suggest trying out some strong 1-mana creatures such as Dryad Militant or Soldier of the Pantheon. I also suspect that Akroan Hoplite could combo very well with Precinct Captain, who makes creatures when he deals damage to a player. I question Path of Bravery as a choice, not only because with your shock lands, you will likely have some difficulty gaining above 20 life, but also because I do not feel that it is a particularly strong card. If you feel differently, more lifegain potential and low-cost creatures will maximize its effectiveness. Cool deck! I'd like to hear more about how it plays!
Oh you mean like another idea for a rareless deck? I mostly went Boros with mine because my standard deck is also Boros. You should build a mono-blue rareless on your account. I'd like to see what some of your ideas are.
I hadn't thought about that. You mean like going tri-color? What specifically did you have in mind?
