I have a deck very similar to this. Some cards you might want to look at are Soul Bleed and Underworld Dreams. Also, If you can make room for it, Megrim works well with your Painful Quandary.
soul bleed is like a bad Pillory of the Sleepless, and i would much rather have a blistergrub out instead. i
decent idea i would personaly say life gain is better
yes it keeps you alive, but this deck does have some life gain, and how do you reasonably win with just lifegain?
gain 40 + felidar soverighn= win
yes but that is just one card though, and it is pretty easy to deal with and you need 40 life. your opponent will say otherwise to that notion. serra ascendant is also very strong but overall if your just gaining life you are putting NO pressure on your opponents and letting them get their strategies up and running.
Pretty sure lifegain isn't as cool as it sounds. It takes way too long and I can't think of a deck that can double your life total in three turns. You can combo much more thoroughly with monoblack with cards like Dark Ritual. White doesn't have that kind of acceleration, and if you're playing white, you should be playing white weenies, since they've proven themselves much more effective. In fact, I can think of many other white decks to play over lifegain. And lifegain depends on cards to give it win conditions; lifeloss just needs your life to hit zero.
^agreed also feldiar soverign is not an unstoppable force (doom blade, terminate, go for the throat ANY black removal) and your not going to draw it every time.

added another temporal extortion and hideous end, took out a grasp, and the lux cannon. made no sense being there. I have pondered some how fitting in 4 Blightspeakers instead of the onyx goblets and necrogen censor. my reasoning is that it will give me more blockers, and they can search for each other to add in more loss. thoughts?

i looked at that its like a slightly more expensive black sun zenith. except that it's on crack. only part i dont like is saccing stuff because i usually dont have much fodder.

Everlasting Torment would get rid of the lifegain problem without need for a splash of red.
It would be hard to splash in red but rain of gore would definitely solve that problem
i was thinking tainted peak/dragonskull summit, both will not drag me down. maybe i will change up the sideboard to include these thinks VS lifegain.
cards this deck needs: ob nixus, bloodchief ascension, maybe contaminated grounds

well seeing as nobody here has posted a single helpful comment, i feel like i probably should. having one-ofs is fine, when you've got plenty of redundancy between the cards.... for instance, i think you should add 1 or 2 black sun's zenith in there, to be redundant with damnation and give you some nice board control for the mid game against aggro decks. also, i think it's reasonable to include 2x go for the throat, in order to be able to deal with big threats from your opponent on a 1-for-1 basis... so that your 1 or 2-of threats have a chance to get through. basically, for this deck you work, you need a way to disrupt your opponent's treats for long enough that the momentum of the them (life loss) takes over and you can win the game through powerful effects. otherwise you'll just get bum-rushed by quick aggro decks or control who can mess up your board position with ease.
Painful Quandary- It costs 5, but opponents have to either discard a card for every spell they cast, or lose 5 life.
