Athreos gives a lot of recursion unless an opponent is willing to pay three life. The commander is also really difficult to target with removal and guarantees that we will get value from his ability. In this deck i was trying to abuse this ability with a lot of high value creatures you opponents don't want you to get back into your hand. Many creatures punish opponents whenever a creature i control dies, for example vindictive Vampire, Blood artist, zulaport cutthroat, Syr Konrad, Cruel celebrant and Falkenrath Noble. I am also running the classic Reveillark and Carmic Guide Combo to finish the Table with a creature like Blood artist. Having a lot of creatures in the graveyard can have nice synergy with this deck also. Rally the Ancestors, Living death, Dusk// Dawn, and wake the dead are all great when the Game drags on for a long time.
