Deck Description

Monocoloreds have been my inspiration for MtG recently as my current player base seems to be growing tired of my 3-4 color shenanigans. Another reason for the monocolored builds is because I want to kind of test my collection and find out what colors are lacking, what colors are strongest, and what I can probably drop out/trade out of my collection.

How to Play

I honest play this deck in a pretty "Draw. Go" sense. I feel like Blue is my weakest color in my collection, and I kind of feel like this deck reflects that. Yes I have counterspells, some creatures, menial removal and forms of delay, but this deck (and my collection) just don't really have a solid, consistent strategy, or really devastating effects. It's an okay build, but not really my best work.

Deck discussion for Thryx, Steady Wins the Race

It's a little known fact that pro players often play cube because they discover some wild and rare interactions when playing it.
Then they remember the most interesting ones and try to build some decks based on them.
Some pretty weird decks have arised because of it :)

Your friends being tired of your decks hint that they can't be very flexible and that you are likely more skilled than them.
Degrading your own stuff will lead to a pleaser pattern where you try to make them happy, and they'll likely lose respect for you and abuse the privileges you give them.

Beat the shit out of them while you can, then participate in more tourneys.
If they stop playing soon after it's because they are trying to control you through your hobby and failed. If they complain about your tourney life, ditch them, they aren't worth it...
