you dont need 22 land with this mana curve. i would suggest takin out two and adding some more of those cards you really need.

i love these basic decks, its a shame no one makes these any more.

this is a lovely deck, i really like the idea, and also i think you should have a look at summer bloom, it would be a great addition to this deck.

advocate of the beast would be a lovely addition to this deck.

Turn // Burn, Archaeomancer, Spellheart Chimera, Fluxcharger, Negate, Essence Scatter, or just fill in the cards you are missing a playset of in your Main Deck , ie x1 Flames of the Firebrand, x1 Izzet Charm, x2 Quicken.

yes, i agree, counterspells could certainly benefit this deck.

this deck has a very small mana curve, i would definately take out 2 land and add 2 mizzium mortars.

with a mana curve like this, i would feel comfortable with less than 24 lands... why do you need 27?

also, you dont need 23 lands in this deck. I have made decks with similar mana curves and have been fine with just 20 lands, those 3 cards could make a big difference.

you would need a one drop in a deck like this. consider dryad militant, its quick, and its effective against some control.

take the land down to sixteen.
