so.. say you have four of them out? and i throw down a dimir aqueduct? I could have 8 mana right there? yes i know having four out is crazy im just double checking to see if i understand correctly

so... you splashed blue to accelerate the deck? also looks like you jumped the price a bit too
except that it would come into play as dark depths. and the legend rule would kick it before marit lage got to be played
i would get this deck regardless. its a deck that ive wanted to build since the first day i started serious deck building. i didnt really know what i was doing so i failed multiple times. but now that ive gotten it "usable" not complete. but just usable. I want it. and i understand the local guys not wanting to play a good deck. i made a decent myr deck using the myr infinite mana combination. then i turned it into a mill deck. so that it was passive. its so slow right now and ive been wanting to speed it up. but no one will play it now. even though i know they can win and i tell them. no one will play it.
so.. how would that have to go down for it to work properly?
but the call is up to him. I personally like this deck the way it is. its interesting.
but if he does have it. then he pretty much has his entire library. then its game over. I mean. im sure if he tweaked his lands a bit he could find a way to have 5 mana by turns 3 and 4. my theory would be to toss in ancient tombs and lotus petals. that could get your mana out turn 1
ok.. so... say i put in savage summoning. what would you have me take out? because as of right now this deck (if i buy it) will be used to play my local group. and no one runs control. but i do know of a group little ways away that are alot better than my local group that do legacy alot. and one of them might run control.

im having issue seeing why i should put that in there. the only creature in the ideal marit lage combination that can be countered is the hexmage. and if im going against an opponent i know runs counter i'll get her out as fast as possible. past that i just have to hold my breath that i dont need to use living wish to pull out dark depths
i like some of the cards. i may take out quillspike and devoted druid to throw in two hex parasites. that could help immensely if i get a dark depths but no hexmage. All the cards you put i here i may make a mono black version incorporating graveyard play instead of elves.
i suppose you could throw in spellbook to add one more card to eliminate hand size. but that would add more nonland cards. maybe just 1?after all. you only have to hit it for it to be effective. plus its a zero cmc co you if you do decide to use ad nauseum for card draw it won't get in your way. other than that, great job. Come check out some of my decks. you may have some ideas on how to make them better. again, great job on the deck
