Deck Description

Gets pretty crazy if you can pull it off.

Use Bone Splinters or Flesh Allergy to sac Bleak Coven or Bloodwitch, Imprint it on the Mimic Vat and produce one every turn to drain your opponent's life and pump up yours.

Imprint Blade of the Bloodchief on Prototype Portal and make copies to give all of your vamps.

Imprint Needlebite Trap on Spellbinder to give your opponents the awful quandry of giving up a creature to block, or taking a hit AND triggering the spell.

Use Flesh Allergy/Bone Splinters to sac the tokens produced by Mimic Vat rather than exile them at the end of the turn, pump up your Blade-equipped vamps.

If you've got a Butcher out, and a few vamps with Blades equipped, Flesh Allergy/Bone Splinters can cause +1/+1 counter madness.

Deck discussion for Vampire Imprint Insanity

very clever idea like it my only worry would perhaps be the speed and mana curve but nice deck not sure if howling mines would be great for the deck .. possibly

thanks man! speed and mana curve can be a bit of an issue, but dark rit and cabal coffers help. i havent gotten to play this deck much yet so im not sure. i'll take a look at your decks and see if i can offer any advice.

That's pretty insane! It's also a pretty good build. Only thing I might say is grave pact over the butcher, but that's up to you.

i thought about Grave Pact, but i figured a 5/4 flyer with a built in Grave Pact is better. When i play this deck, i actually dont have very many creatures on the battlefield, so more creatures=better. after a few real games i'll see how it works and try possibly thy the grave pact instead.

Edited after a few real games last night.

The Spellbinder/Needlebite combo looked good on paper but was tough to pull off and distracted from the main purpose of the deck, so they have been eschewed in favor of something the deck was lacking - more small creatures that can drop early. The addition of Bloodthrone Vampires actually make it run a little more efficiently, because they allow me to sac a creature whenever I want, so rather than the Mimic Vat tokens just disappearing at the end of turn, I can sac them and trigger the Butcher and the Blade.

And i'm keeping the Butcher over Grave Pact for now... the collective groan around the table when he comes into play is priceless.

Pretty solid take on a vamp deck, but a little slow for my taste... Check out a faster version based around leaving your opponent with no blockers.
