Also, think about replacing the Serra Angels and Aegis Angel with Emancipation Angels. A little weaker, but they get the curve down. If returning a permanent to your hand bothers you remember: you can return a tapped land, then play it right away (which untaps it).

Consider some Angelic Walls. Technically not angels, but they may help slow the game down so that you can get your Angels out.

Entreat the Angels is so good.

Hey Sun, how's the deck working out for you? I haven't gotten to bring mine to FNM yet. Planning on throwing together a fog deck, take a look and let me know what you think. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=348927

Sideboard Witchbane Orb, Melira (till infect goes out), Grafdigger's Cage, sigh...

Brutal. Curse of Stalked prey is a pain in the butt to play against with even one weenie on the board.

Devout Chaplains replaced the Mentors. In my play testing I was never able to use the Mentor's card draw ability (as you noted). Devout Chaplains let me exploit my large pool of humans to zap enemy enchantments and artifacts (take that, swords!)

I like your suggestions, but I think I may actually remove the Mentor of the Meek and look for something else at the 2 mana slot. Maybe the other two Nearheath Pilgrim in my sideboard.

I'd really like to play test my deck against this deck, it looks like it'd be a fun match.

Good change! Grim Lavamancer is an awesome card, and one I think a lot of people overlook. Since his ability is instant speed he's a real pain in the ass and potentially squeezes out a lot of value. Thanks for your comments on my deck. I added those Abolishers (managed to trade for some, finally), and even changed the name since I ended up pulling most of the angels out. I'm looking at where I can put in Curse of Exhaustion now. Thanks again!

I was adding the Abolishers I traded for last night as you commented, funny that! Thanks for the comment. I've got the Curse in my sideboard, any thoughts what I would swap out for it? Angel of Jubilation?

This is brutal and fantastic. Have you considered running Doomed Traveler instead of Elite Vanguard? Smaller front end, but you get a flier when it dies. It can potentially feed your Mob twice, or give you a flier to block something with, or sneak damage over the top. Other than that I have no good suggestions, this deck seems pretty tight. Please take a look at what I'm currently running (Mono W, Humans and Angels) and let me know what you think: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344648

Great deck. I've seen a lot of takes on G/W and R/W humans lately. You've built an interesting spin on it with the Lavamancer and control. I like that it's standard as well. Did you consider replacing the O Rings with Fiend Hunters? They're somewhat more fragile, but they'd add to your human creatures. Please take a look at my deck, Mono White Humans and Angels. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344648

You know if I end up ripping out the Angels, and just go entirely humans, I think I'll replace them with Cathar Crusade.

I love the Moonsilver Spear, but four is too many. Consider taking two out and adding two plains. Otherwise I LOVE it. Sweet deck.

Do you mean putting counters on my creatures, like with Mikaeus? I've thought about adding in a Cathar Crusade or two...

Your curve is very expensive and you're running really land light. I guess you're hoping to land pull with Otherworld Atlas? Love Entreat the Angels, wish I had some. Consider taking something out to put in some Seraph Sanctuary (colorless land that gives you life when angels ETB under your control). Also, please take a look at my Humans and Angels deck, it's a similar idea to this. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344648

My god, the more I think about the nastier Thalia and the Abolisher sounds to me. I will HAVE to trade to get some. Thank you sir!
