Life gain is one of my favorite aspects of the game, so I built a deck completely around gaining tons of life and abusing it to kill an opponent. Plus, white is my favorite color in magic for what the cards can do.
My typical strategy for it is once enough mana has been ramped (typically by turn 5 or 6) you can let loose everything and potentially win the game next round or two. Plenty of cards that gain life, some will be used to a mega advantage like Serra Avatar, Celestial Mantle, Rhox Faithmender, and so on. One of my favorite combo's in this deck is Auratouched Mage combined with a free cast of Eldrazi Conscription! Mana issues? Tutor for Endless Horizon. Enemy starting to kill you but you have a million life? Felidar Sovereign or Test of Endurance. Most of my big game-ending plays come from playing Serra Avatar, which can be combo'd/abused in so many different ways with all of these cards. E.g Boon Reflection/Rhox Faithmender + Wall of Reverance = Mega Life Gain. Wanna be rid of that pesky enemy general? Play Oblation, Condemn, or Banishing Stroke for pretty cheap costs. I love this deck because it is not reliant on just a few cards, rather the entire deck combo's each other in different ways.
