A hydra deck that I came up with. Hope it works.

Heres my opinion, first you need more mana, 20 lands are usually enough. you would also need more mana acceleration creatures. Birds of paradise is the only source you have, and theres only 4 of them in this deck. You also need some way to defend yourself while you getting mana for a strong hydra, walls, minefield, etc. you also need trample cards too because itll take awhile before you get a hydra, and without trample, a swarm deck will win everytime. You also have too many hydras. I would sideboard rock and molten hydra, since rock hydra's second ability makes it weaker than the other hydra's and molten hydra's ability is useful, but it's still expensive to use. Also, i would suggest to take out progenitus. Though its a hydra, it makes you mana too spread out and you'll almost never play it in the first place, so why put it in at all? that'll make this a green/red deck and the mana ratio will be alot better. depending on ow this deck goes, ulasht the hate seed wont be very useful unless you have a swarm deck, which hydra's usually arn't. You could also use some search cards (land and creature cards) to help with mana acceleration too and to thin out your deck. If you want , you can look at my deck, one on one with a hydra, to see what else you can do to improve youor hydra deck. Hope this helps.

Heres, my thinking. I am counting on my enchantments to boost my hydra's. You can't have an effective hydra deck if your hydra's are only 4/4's and 5/5's, and you only have like three of them. I saw your deck and the problem with it is that is has TOO MUCH mana search. You will be able to play alot of weak creatures soon that do supply you with mana, but then you have to hope for a hydra to use them with. With upwelling and doubling cube out, i'll be able to play progenitus very soon. Maybe your right about not having enough small creatures so I might add one or two more, but I want this HYDRA deck to have as many HYDRA's as possible.
Yes, there is alot of search cards, but one reason for that is to get any land that i need since its 3 colors. The problem with your deck is that birds is the only way to get a mana that you need, but with few forests, that makes it hard to pull out. I know that you want big hydra's out, but remember that you dont need every creature to be a hydra in order to make it effective. you also need creatures that support them as well, for mana or defense. The reasson why i say that your deck will have a hard time winning is because I used to play with every hydra and progenitus. It takes too long, even with cards like upwelling and doubling cube. By the time you get the amount of mana needed to play a hydra, the opponet will have a big advantage agaisnt you. You also still need trample, since you need to find a way through their defense. You will never be able to overswarm a deck using hydras, which why i say to get trample (or unbloackable) enchantments/artifacts. Another thing i noticed is the mana curve is off. you need more forest/mountain in a hydra deck, so unless you have a forest in your hand, you can't play 33 of your cards, so you should fix the mana curve to get more forests. Hydra's are finisher's, not everything in your deck which is why i still suggest you replace some of the weaker hydra's with walls or some type of defender (sprouting hydra is a good defender, but its still costly).
