Deck Description

**My 1st deck ever.** ** My 1st deck ive ever bought! ** *About to buy sideboard*
*Read and Proxy! Try this deck for yourself!* ^_^

**Undefeated in over 20+ Games 1v1. Works Extremely well in emperor if you are the emperor.

Phobus and Deimos are the God of Fear (phobia) and the God of Terror. Phobus would be the Blood Artist, while Deimos would be The Bloodthrone Vampire with Blade of Blood Cheif. This deck was centered around these two Cards. Phobus and Deimos are the names of my two cats. lol)

This Deck encourages death of many creatures. Fast/Cheap/Interlocking Creatures. What does kill you makes you stronger. 99% of this Deck can potinetally work with each other. I didnt make an infinitie loop on purpose, but I know how to.

**Please comment what you think I should add or remove. Or if you like!**

How to Play

The Way the Deck Works

Recommened that you have at least 1 Swamp in starting hand! 2 Swamps will play 94% of the deck. The highest card is 3 mana.

Decent Mana = 20 Swamp 94% costs less than 2 mana. Certian creatures can use more mana to buff *8* and one creature *4* needs mana to get life when vampires die.

Genisis Chamber+ 28 (potiental) creatures = 56 (Potiental creatures) x 3 Chambers= (150+ Potiental creatures) ***Works for all players. However your more likely to play a creature to generate more always if they generate some... just have the myrs kill each other off and have blood artist or blade of blood cheif on the field. If three 1/1 attacks three 1/1's then blood artistx1 just made 6 life for you and made them lose 6 life...

Bloodthrone Vampire + Blade of BloodCheif + (Shadow Alley) = Unblockable quick force. Sacrafice 5 creatures get 10+/10+ temporaily. and get 10+/10+ Permantely from blade. Easy with Chamber and cheap creatures!!!

Blood Artist = 1+ Life You - 1 Life Target Player for each death of a creature. (Stacks)
Yes this includes token creatures so if they generate a bunch keep attacking with your MYRS! Also Two creatures x4 = 8 of your own can kill blood artist! Giving you some extra life and taking them down some.

Kalastria Highborn. : Vampire dies. Pay One mana you get 2 life and oppent loses 2 life...

Cap Vampire: DUH steal their creatures. THey become vampires.

Guul: Simple 1/1 creature unless your going for a fast turn 4-5 kill then she is a 3/2 creature for one mana.

Pulse: Simple 1/1 creature that is kinda disguised as a 2/2 since it will do two damage everytime unless they block of course.

Shadow Alley Denizen: Cheap blockers. Sacrafice material. Geneisis Material. Also vampire material and makes a creature unblockable almost every turn!

Price: **** (Very Affordable) <<< without expensive lands...
Weakness:**** (Weak to mill/burn decks)
Versatility: ***** (Stands a chance agaisnt almost anything)
Speed: **** (Very fast with skull clamp reduce to three without)
Legality: *** (Modern/Vintage/Legacy) (Reduce to one with skull clamp)
Weaved: ***** (All cards go with each other. very rare you will have left over mana)
Life Gain: *** (Moderate)
Finisher: ***** (High any creature can be a big finisher. Or death of many. Can also steal creatures)

Side Board:

Meant to slow down certian decks... Like legends decks or Discard decks. May never need.

Ensnaring Bridge: If oppenent is playing a legends deck. Usally creatures are more powerfull than your 1 or 2 cards you m ight have in hand. Also most of your creatures are one's anyways.

Tangle Wire: Slows Down

Truth card prevents most mills.

Essence is basically playing on your own. Slowing them down untill you get bloodthrone/ skullclamp/ blade out.

Deck discussion for Phobus and Deimos (Vintage)

see I like this deck much more than my own. yours isn't even that much more expensive than mine. I guess its all about advertising, Lambs to the Slaughter is just exciting haha. the only thing I can see, is that you lack the search mechanic needed for genesis chamber and or skull clamp. seeing as a big part of your deck is those two cards, I think it would be worth the investment.

Ive never needed to search for those two cards. If I just have regular creatures out hitting for 1's and 2's thats good to. Also Bloodthrone can be a quick finisher if shes out there with a few friends and that stick is also a big finisher. Also 5 vamps out with Captivating and I gain control of their creatures one at a time lol. It all works well. I proxy it out alot to my friends. ^_^

Arrogant Bloodlord = Really Powerful
Blood Seeker = Protection from Creature hordes like Krenko
Bloodline Keeper = Captivating Vampire / Shadow Alley Denizen
Gate Keeper of Malakir = Blood Artist
Pulse Tracker = Shadow Alley Denizen
Vampire Nighthawk = Everything
Since this is essentially a vampire deck, here are some vampires and what they work with.
Hope this helps.
Good work with the story behind the deck !

Bloodline keeper and nighthawk thought about it. Even proxied bloodlinekeeper a few times.

Everything else is a TERRIBLE idea! Thank you! lol -_-

Untrue. Vampire Nighthawk is simply amazing. Lol, works with everything. So let's see .. it has flying, deathtouch, lifelink, vampire type ... AND it's a 2/3.

Here's a lesser known combo based on it's shaman status. Thornbite Staff. Basically, you get infinite doomblades, and the equipment has NO equip cost, so ... it's 2. AND Nighthawk still attacks.

If you like Orzhov, Frontline Medic and Vampire Nighthawk is amazing. Or Silverblade Paladin and Vampire Nighthawk.

Maybe a couple of grave pacts?

This is an excellent fist deck.

I suggest you drop the token idea. It is good, but it doesn't fit well here; you have only 1 creature that sacrifices. Some other vampires, like Vampire Warlord, etc. work with this strategy.

Here's my plan:
- Genesis Chamber
- Bloodthrone Vampire.
+ Thornbite Staff
+ Vampire Nighthawk

Now you still get buffs from your many vampires, but through destruction of the enemy!

The genesis chamber acitvates the skullclamp for very very fast draw power. as well as they activate blood artist so a 2 1/1 creatures attack their 2 1/1 creatures. 1 blood artist = 4 life won 4 life lost for them. Bloodthrone with the vampire blade... so attach the blade to some1 else. sac the little artifact creatures. bam 9/9 bloodthrone. 8/8 pulse vampire or what have you.

The deck hardly loses. I played with it alot in afghanistan. and now back in the states. it wins more than 70% of the time. as long as im not being ganged up on in mutiplayer which is why i have the sideboard. of ensnaring and tangle.

Oh, on a different note, you badly need some removal and draw. Altar's Reap and Doom Blade (or expirate) are good choices and will really help your deck move faster.

captivating vampire steals their creatures instead of killing them

But Nighthawk can kill faster than Mr. Captivating can steal, and you only should think about stealing their best creatures. Also, you need to derail your opponent's plans.

For example, I have a Knight Exemplar in my Knight deck, which gives all my OTHER knights +1/+1 and indestructibility. Put bluntly, if you don't take that sucker out before I play 2 of them, you are in for a world of hurt. You could steal it with Captivating, but since it's only 3 CMC, I will have at least 2 other knights out. And what if I respond to your stealing by taking it back? Or destroying your other creatures, like with Gideon Jura? Or attacking you with your "pants down", i.e., all your creatures tapped.

All decks need quick responses to enemy shenanagins (unless you're packing hexproof or protection with all your creatures). Another perfect example is Northern Paladin, which has [T]WW, destroy target black permanent. Do you have the time to spare to capture him?

My biggest argument - what if the trouble is an artifact or enchantment or Planeswalker. It would be highly embarrassing to have Sorin steal your Captivating Vampire and use it against you. What if a lifegain deck comes a'calling with Angelic Accord?

The blood artist and kalastria keep my life gain up. I wont nessarily attack or block unless I need to. The draw power your underestimating completly with the skullclamp and genesis tokens. Even if you had 3 night hawks in your starting hand and i had 0 captivating vampires. I beleive id still have a much greater chance.

Really? Even if I had a Thornbite Staff? Or Frontline Medic? Or Silverblade Paladin? Or blade of the Bloodchief?

I am not saying Captivating is bad at all, just that Nighthawk is more flexible. And Nighthawk is faster. Isn't this deck supposed to be fast? Can you really withstand an attack from ALL my creatures the turn after you use Captivating Vampire? He's too slow here since he id meant for midrange and vampire token decks, not an aggro deck.

You know what ... why not use both? Sideboard Nighthawk for fighting against weenie decks, and mainboard Captivating. If you like Captivating Vampire, you should really look at Sorin, Lord of Innistrad.

Each card in Magic is like a Spartan Warrior in a phalanx. An individual card is not as important as the cards around it. Vampire Nighthawk sends a lot of dudes to the graveyard ... which helps with so many vampire abilities. Bad moon and Control Magic can substitute for Captivating Vampire, but Nighthawk is unique. Finally, you need something to block flyers.

I'm interested to see what you have to say about the most recent deck I made. This one was the 1st. My last one is humans. http://www.mtgvault.com/mmmjkx2/decks/33-repopulate-humans/

Why not use Altar's Reap? It's not reusable, but it sacrifices one of your creatures.

Lastly lastly don't forget to take a look at the sideboard. "Ensnaring Bridge" creatures cant attack according to how many cards I have in my hand. ALL my cards cost less than 3 mana. It would be to easy to keep it at 0. Provided I wanted to. Then its just all a matter of life sucking by blood artist/kalastria or a random essance harvest with bloodthrone or the vampire stick.

I'm going to take a look.

Thanks for inspiring me with such a neat deck. I love that this deck is an old friend of yours ... that is the true spirit of Magic.

Don't feel pressured to take my advice; I am sorry if I came off arrogant. In fact, I am a hardcore white player, so I am still getting used to sacrificing my own creatures!

Hmm ... ensnaring bridge is amazing with Captivating Vampire or Vampire Nighthawk w/ Thornbite Staff!

It's not a bad idea to sideboard Vampire Hexmage.

Bad moon might be good, if you want it. Seems too much like Honor of the Pure ... Who wants White?
