"because of how perfect they are."
Indeed! That's why I run each 4 times. :D Check it out if you feel like it. :)

Hey Maniac, thanks a lot for your suggestions!

I agree that Stampeding Herd is kind of a weak spot in this (Flamewake Phoenix could be another one) but I like the big body and trample for all my critters. Although... I added Kessig Wolf Run due to another suggestion, so I still have trample there...mhhhhh. Ash Zealot doesn't seem bad at all. First Strike is great with deatchtouch, as you said, and it still fits in with Nykthos (veering it more towards red). Would make the deck faster for sure, so I'm gonna try it out a few times. Could at least be a sideboard card. Now, if I did decide to add it in I gotta rename the deck: DeathstrikeTramplers. :D

I guess Banefire makes more sense in an overall Modern environment but my opponents play mostly mixed decks. And most of them hate blue, haha. So I'll stay with Crater's Claws for now, although Fall of the Titans has been glancing at me rather seductively. Could be worth the swap, especially with Ash Zealot instead of Herd to enable Surge more reliably.

On another note, what do you think of Archetype of Aggression instead of Stampeding Herd? Another good replacement or trample bonus not enough for weaker body and 3 CMC? Nylea, Goddess of Hunt came to mind as well but she's worse with devotion.

Cheers!

Thanks! I'll consider Retreat to Coralherlm, that could really have a place here. Not sure what to take out, though.

I think splashing green would be a bit too much as there are already plenty of ways to untap but who knows. How would you build it with green?

If you're curious I made a Tainted Remedy a few months ago, as well. Just using BW though. Check it out if you like. :)

Nice, you found quite some good green cards for this style of deck. Lots of "opponent gains life". I dismissed green pretty soon for my Tainted Remedy deck but this looks like a fun deck to play.

Thanks! Wall of Shards is such a great card for this. Really love how Tainted Remedy turns the disadvantages of cards into huge boons.
Beacon may seem a little cheap, being an instakill and all but it just fits so perfectly that I decided to run one of it (if I ran more of it I'd feel dirty ^^ ).

@Kazzong: I was thinking about using False Cure together with Tainted Remedy - makes sense thematically after all - but Tainted Remedy unfortunately counteracts False Cure, as no life is ever gained with Tainted Remedy and that way False Cure cannot trigger. So FC becomes a pretty useless card once you have TR out.
I'd like to see how your brother made it work or did he maybe not know of the bad synergy? Is he on here, so I can check out his deck?

Yeah, forgot to update the description, thanks for reminding me. I replaced the Aspirant with the Ashmouth Hound since that one's strictly better in this case, opening up an option for a more solid defense.

Kessig Wolf Run is a great suggestion! Thank you!

Hey, yeah, absolutely. I'd love to run a set of 4 Foothills but I only have two at the moment. Therefore the manabase still looks a bit sketchy. It does work though.- :D
And once I get my hands on two more Foothills they'll go in here in a jiffy.

Thanks for the input, nerddude.
I've been playing a little bit with this deck and while Mastery works well in it, it doesn't seem necessary to win with it.
It's still pretty neat to open up more options to surprise your opponent with lots of actual morph creatures and trigger-effects, so I'll keep playing it like this for a while to learn a bit more about it.

Whether the deck will end up in Modern or Legacy time and experience will show. Mirari's Wake really is an awesome card for this deck as it considerably buffs manifest production with Mastery and makes all the little morph creatures a bit more relevant.

Cheers,
Morty

Heyo, thanks for the comment! I managed quite some fun matches with this deck although it has its problems against high-toughness-decks. Maybe I'll put in some deathtouch enablers at some point. Most of all, I'd love another 2-drop like Razorfin Hunter, that'd be amazing. :D

As for your suggestions: What would you take out for them? I really like Curiosity but it's hard to find room for it. And while I appreciate the abilities of Freed From The Real, I'd rather use a global enchantment (or artifact) to not give my opponent 2-for1s. Any idea for something like that?

Thanks for the input. I just got all the cards together and will be testing this baby in the next few weeks.
Will see if Congregate, Cruel Feeding and Auramancer have a real place in this or if they're easily replaced with better cards.
You also mentioned Beacon being too expensive in CMC but as a 1-of, I think it's great. Gives more value to the tutors after Tainted Remedy is out.

Funny, I completed my Tainted Remedy in the last days as well. :)

Life Burst is awesome. I took it out though because I wasn't sure how reliable it would be. Went the Rest for the Weary-route instead.
Also, I like Beacon of Immortality and Congregate for massive damage/instakill.

Illusory Ambusher seems nice with Nin. Double card draw on damage and if you can make it survive somehow you got a pretty engine going.

If you're going for Snake Tribal, I'd run a Door of Destinies or Obelisk of Urd. They can really get out of control fast.

Nice, love it. Putting on the thumbscrews.

Although I don't really see what Tainted Remedy is supposed to do here. Just disrupt the opponent's lifegain or did you plan more synergy with it that got cut?
