You do realise that with enough spawn out while the coat of arms is out the raid bombardment becomes useless?

You do realize having your deck rely on solely coat of arms is dumb, raid gives him another easy win....

^^ Bingo. Raid Bombardment is for some quick damage in the early game. Turn 2 Nest Invader to a Turn 3 Brood Birthing means a Turn 4 Raid Bombardment will do 5 damage on its own. And they stack!

Then turn 5 drop that Coat of Arms or an Eldrazi Monument for hopefully the win, assuming few blockers and a bolt or two beforehand.

Maybe Throw in some Broodwardens, Otherwise, the chance of drawing either Coat of Arms or raid bombardment is 1:10. Also, control and boardwipes hurt. Alot.

Well the idea is to use the Monuments as the main boost to all my spawn tokens, since that way Raid Bombardment can still go off. If I were to have out a Broodwarden AND an Eldrazi Monument, I wouldn't have the flexibility of Raid Bombardment. Especially since that card is SO good at killing plansewalkers, since you can target a 'walker any time you would target a player instead, meaning i can mass-snipe their gorram Mindsculptors.

Bombardment and the Coat aren't meant to work together. Probably isn't an issue when Coat is giving all my creatures ~+5/+5 on turn 4, then swing with everything for (probably) the win.

Multiple win conditions so I don't pigeonhole myself too much, and since Meddling Mage is popular around these parts.

I don't have broodwardens because them and the Monuments make Bombardment unusable. Plus, the Monument negates any fear of board wipes. Even if one does get through, so long as I have an Awakening Zone or two pumping out tokens, I'll be able to build up again with not too much effort.

id take out coat of arms and bombardment for overrun and broodwardens, which are a lot more solid

I don't like Broodwardens, too fragile. And the goal is to synergize between Eldrazi Monument and Raid Bombardment, since that way I can attack to trigger the Bombardment without risk of getting killed by blockers.

Honestly, this looks like a fun deck, though there's enough artifact/enchantment destruction now that I'd worry about running this in standard with no protection. But if any of the combos go off, you're building creatures up faster than anyone could keep up with. Zerging them should be no problem at all. :D

Easiest protection is Eldrazi Monument, but SHOOT I forgot to add my sideboard, 4x Autumn's Veil that have saved my ass on multiple occasions. Goes something like this:

Me: I play Eldrazi Monument.
Them: Deprive it.
Me: Nope.
Them: *blank stare*

I like the design. I was always wondering how much face it would smash to combine something silly like spawns with something crazy like the Coat of Arms. Also might want to consider Door of Destinies for an Eldrazi Tribal deck. It can make a Skittering Invasion produce a bunch of 1/2s if that's the first spell you cast.

Wow I actually like Skittering Invasion here, hadn't thought of that... would make for a hilarious late-game play! That's where this deck suffered most, late game, so this makes a lot of sense.

Not very complicated but it's good at what it does. I agree that I'd take out Coat of Arms, though, it doesn't seem needed.

Like I said it's just because it's one more possible win condition. Remember, ALL of the creatures I have in this deck have 'Eldrazi' as their creature type too! Which means Nest Invader can pump and be pumped by any and all of the spawn tokens, just like the other Eldrazi Drones.

Okay well since it's not in standard any more I can't run Coat of Arms anyways, so what does everyone think of Mimic Vat? Imprint an Emrakul's Hatcher on there, bam easy 3 extra spawn tokens every turn during my upkeep.

Also I've updated my sideboard. Yes, Green Leylines! It's for the matchup against red, since that one extra toughness bringing my Predators and Hatcher out of Bolt range can make all the difference, on top of the huge amount of life I can be gaining. Every spawn token to come in gains me life. Best of all, THEY STACK! Only leyline to do so. 2x Leylines = Nest Invader that's immune to Bolt, and 4 life gained by turn 2.

This is a very well-constructed deck; I would hate to be the one fighting against it. My bro has built a token tribal deck of elves and it gives me so much trouble.

Anyway, well done.

As said above, you should give Beastmaster Ascension a look. I run an Eldrazi deck with one and I've had quite a few T5 wins with Eldrazi Spawns and Beastmaster. here's the deck I run: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=137284

I love that you built this around a Zerg concept. I love swarm decks (B/U Faeries being my favorite swarm) but this is very scary even just to look at. I do agree with the 3 above comments on Beastmaster ascension. Sure it's not as handy as CoA but it'll get the job done with as much eldrazi as you're pumping out here. And, like CoA, it gives you a good extra win condition.

Speaking of Swarm Decks, you seem to know what you're doing when it comes to one. Mind helping me with my Elf swarm deck? Granted, it's not T2 legal but I like Lorwyn-Shadowmoor block more anyway xD Deck link is:

This is freakin hilarious, I love beating people's faces in with odd things like enchantments thatmake 0 power creatures useful attackers. BAM. LIKED.

My only gripe with Beastmaster is that is screws with Raid Bombardment and eats removal very quickly. I used to play it in a G/W landfall deck and was never too impressed with it......I'm preferring Raid Bombardment just for its flexibility. It kills planeswalkers!

Have you considered Furnace Celebration? It turns all of your eldrazi spawn into a 1 colourless mana shock

Oh wow, that card is FANTASTIC for this deck. How have I never heard of it before?! Thanks for the suggestion! Probably will replace the Raid Bombardments with that, which lets me use everyone's suggested Beastmaster Ascension as well...... I wonder if there's a way to squeeze in a Rapacious one, too. DECKBUILDING AWAAAY!

I've read most of the stuff here, and I don't get why your removed raid bombardment, even if you added furnace celebration, it a great card... it even works fine with furnace celebration... but anyway, apart from that, it looks awesome ^_^

0

I'd have to agree. I think raid bombardment and furnace Celebration would work really well together, that is potentially 3 non-combat damage per creature.
OR
You have the raid bombardment and Beastmaster's Ascension in play. you attack with say seven spawn (no counters on the BA yet). that is seven damage right there, and then you activate the beastmaster's Ascension. Ideally you would never be playing Beastmaster's ascension until the turn that you try to use it it to win anyway to lessen the chance of it being removed.

I only really have space for 2 of the 3 (Raid Bombardment, Beastmaster Ascension, and Furnace Celebration) and, ideally, I want to be able to do the most damage possible. (Obviously)

Between Raid Bombardment and Furnace Celebration, there's a lot more damage to be had with the Furnace Celebration. Plus, it doesn't become totally useless once Beastmaster goes online.

Really it comes down to personal preference, I'm going to try it out with those 2 enchantments for now, will possibly tweak it later if need be.
