Deck Description

Aggressive, fast, and fiery!

How to Play

This deck has all the tools you need to succeed in Standard. You want to race out of the gate with your cacklers and manglers, enhancing them with rancor and backing them up with your burn and discard. As soon as you can, play out your keyrunes as well, because your opponent will need to use board sweeps to deal with your creatures more often than not. The mid game brings in messengers and trolls, and you will want to hold on to any late game cackler draws if you have a troll for discard purposes. In a close game, Olivia and Desecration Demon can clean up very quickly. Take care not to play your Rakdos Returns into counterspells and you will be fine. In games two and three, bring in Liliana and Slaughter Games as well as the Thundermaw Hellkite and Deathrite Shamans, removing cacklers for shamans and pillar of flames. Dreadbore is especially useful if your opponent has any number of planeswalkers, as they can prove difficult to deal with. Bring in additional Pillars against zombies to deal with those pesky gravecrawlers and messengers.

**A special note: With the new previews of Gatecrash, the golgari charm will come out for Clan Defiance and the Devil's Plays for Skullcrack at this time. More changes may come.

Deck discussion for RTR Jund

Olivia seems out of place here you don't have the mana to really take advantage of her fully
Augur spree is kind of a suboptimal kill or pump spell
Devil's play is not going to do an amazing amount in this deck
Other than its a great deck a totally different direction then where I took rtr jund

True, I have been playing with the idea of bringing the Mizzium Mortars into the main deck. The Auger Spree is an interesting card, because it can be utilized for both pump and removal. I figure that most of the time it will be a removal spell, but there will be occasions where I am swinging with a pumped LOL troll or a Deadbridge Goliath and take my opponent by surprise. As for Olivia, I watched the Players Championships and saw how absolutely brutal she is against most creatures. That, plus the fact she flies and you have one really good creature that can be absolutely devastating. I figure once Gatecrash comes out I will be able to smooth out the mana base with Stomping grounds, because in reality this deck needs at least two. Until that time, I might need to rely on mulligans to help smooth out awkward opening hands. Thanks for the input and the link.
