Deck Description

Once you remove Grim Lavamancer, you remove Arid Mesa, Scalning Tarn and other expensive lands without losing any speed. Grim Lavamancer rarely deals damage and any burning card seems better.

All cards deal damages the turn I play them. Even an Eidolon generally deals 2 damages under Lightning Bolt or Lightning Helix.

The sideboard is adapted to my metagame (mainly Pod, Patriot, UW and Zoo).

Feel free to comment and propose alternatives.

Deck discussion for MOD Communist

flames of the blood hand cost too much. Chandra's phoenix is worse than ball lightning. searing blaze is eh, I prefer pillar of flame. good deck overall. I like the vexing devil and grim lavamancer. even without fetches grim lavamancer is good with how many spells you run. I think blood moons and guttural response should find a home in your sb to be competitive

Agreed and I don't like the Ball Lightning so I removed this card and add one Keldon Marauders and one Burst Lightning.

Grim Lavamancer is really affected by removing his pretty lands and I try to maximise consistency. Vexing Devil is a wonderfull turn one but a slack top deck the next turns (always shooted or exiled anyways). Following the idea of dealing damages immediatly I don't play it.

hey its all good, just suggestions. ive been running this at PTQ's and FNM's for awhile, its held its own. recently Switched it to Dega (RWB) and have had a lot more success. It is the best way to get into modern competitively I think, especially since a good amount of the cards are usably in other decks
