When I set my eyes on Soulflayer, I fell in love. I don't know why, but it had it.I was in the mood to make a standard deck and I wanted to Jund 'em, this is the product of that.My huge problem with the deck is the generally low toughness of creatures, if there could be any suggestions on how to avoid this; it would be greatly appreciated.By that same token, if you do have any suggestions please also give possible cards to be replaced by them.On another note, I wonder whether the red or blue would be more appropriate, though I feel having access to Stormbreath dragon adds another haste target for Soulflayer, that also gives him flying. Not only that but adds another bomb to the deck which is protected against white removal; popularized through Jeskai decks.
Heir of the wilds was in here for a bit but, with Gurmag Swiftwing and all the other potential utilities that needed to go, something had to give. I then took lengths to make Gurmag have a combo while it was out on the field, rather than just a target for Soulflayer's delve. This was where Boon Satyr seemed perfect for making your opponent reconsider their options. The rest of the deck's aim is simply attempting to gain superior board control; through removal and high powered creatures, that swing at the face.
