Fellwar Stone and the Orchard ain't gonna do nothing. I can't add any mana to my mana pool outside the colors of the Triplets.

As I mentioned, some cards are impossible to cast thanks to the color differences. Each card that I can't/don't want to cast will be discarded with those discard-spells. That's why they are here. (I presume you didn't read How to Play.)

If you are not playing standard, cards like Avacyn's Pilgrim and such are great for early mana-ramp to get the Scalelords more quickly.
