My skill in paying attention is severely lacking, apparently. LOL.

I agree. But as far as the colors are concerned, that's not as big of a deal if I can get out AEther vial early.

I see that in the wording now! Damn. Well, it'd still be super boss for the Myojin cards, putting 2 divinity counters each turn on a card. As far as the "Child of Alara" effect is concerned, I wouldn't want that to happen, so I'm fine with that. I plan on pairing it with Aqueous Form and Forced Adaptation and just having a heavy hitter, perhaps indestructible thanks to TWWT.

Speaking of the Kamigawa cycle.....

Take a look at my newest EDH (Commander) deck?

Yeah, they're few and far between. Hopefully WotC are paying attention to our convo and drop, like, 80 new ones in the next release. lol.

Not to advertise another site, but you are aware of www.gatherer.wizards.com, right?

It's THE definitive search for all things MTG, since it's run by Wizards of the coast. You can search by just about anything.

I do agree, though, about Vela and the others adding quite a bit of awesomeness.

I'd thought of doing a Ninja deck, but didn't think there were enough "ninja" cards because I didn't think of sprinkling them with other cards. I may make a blue/green deck now with a few deathtouch spiders and some ninjas. *gears start turning*

This is my spider deck. I just did some updating to it and it should be pretty mean.

This is the commander deck I ran at my last meeting on Wednesday where my friends and I play.

This is a pretty beastly deck! I don't understand the point of having the Spirit of the Labyrinth in your sideboard though. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of your draw cards??

I did go ahead and comment on a few decks this evening. This is really cool!

I've got a friend who has an Elf deck. He's damn-near unstoppable by turn 3. Green mana ramp + elf token generation = *death*

Great-looking deck though!

So I printed my proxies today, and did a mockup game against another deck of mine, my God's Army deck listed on here (I played both sides). Once I got Progenitor Mimic on the board, it was pretty mean. Once I had PM AND Doubling Season out, it was downright evil. At one point I was spawning 4 Kessig Recluse's a turn. Took 3 turns to go from 7-41 (life totals) to 21-0. I'll vote that as a win any day.

Ok, I made the deck Modern by removing the Savannah cards and replacing them with Arctic Flats, and dropping Gaea's Cradle for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Taking Cithiri's advise, I dropped some of the diversity of my deck and bulked up on the number of individual creatures. I'm TRYING to run the Progenitor mimic, but I have a feeling that only having 3 of that mana color with Birds of Paradise I won't have enough to consistently use that. I'm hoping for a doubling season or two on the field once he drops though. Armies of recluses with deathtouch *evilgrin.jpg*

Thanks so much! Yeah, I agree about perhaps going with just 4 types of spiders (Arachnus, the Recluses, and Silklash for those pesky flyer's) and having 3-4 of each. It'll definitely help with the reliability of this deck. It'd sure be nice if there was a Planeswalker that put spider tokens out (hopes WotC is listening lol).

I'll post some updates here in a few days once I play with the updated deck.

You think running 2 or 4 spinners? Also, I can see the archweaver/blightwidow removal, but what about giant spider? He's kinda my least favorite lol.

I was also looking for spider token generation, even if only to activate arachnus spinner's ability while leaving deathtouch spiders untapped to block. I found Crib Swap and Spider Spawning, but Spider Spawning is based on creatures in my graveyard, and I hope to not have very many of those. Crib Swap is ok except my deck is low on white mana and it's still only 1 at a time. Any thoughts?
