One removal spell hoses you for 2-4 turns assuming you hit all your land drops. A second and you're pretty much out of the game. The weakness is you NEED to have your commander on the board or your deck does nothing.

Switching to the commander format adds a zone at the very top for your commander(s). You can put the commander up there and it won't appear in sample hands occasionally.I love ur-dragon decklists. Nothing beats flying beatsticks.Except blue.Sunbird's invocation allows for explosive dragon summoning.With a high enough creature count, Oath of the druids and lurking predators is an option. Maelstrom nexus is expensive but its more explosive dragon summoning. Card draw off lifecraft beastiary, temur ascension and the like is helpful but they aren't winning you the game so dont go overboard with it. (temur gives team haste as well, which is helpful).boros charm and heroic intervention for anti-board wipes. Teferi's protection too but its pricey as well.Team haste on kolaghan isn't that great, honestly. (but on temur ascension it is, since its not on a creature. And especially not on a creature that people WANT to kill anyways.) sarkhan's triumph is a dragon tutor.The curses arent that great. Blue one is okay at best. Hedron dreamstone isnt that great, as its 6 mana (which is the cost of a dragon) to get 3 COLORLESS mana in a 5c deck. At best its prolly just 9 mana draw three cards.
What cards are there for immediate life gain? If there aren't many, might I recommend cards like war report?

Within the group that I play with, the only decks that run lightning bolt tend to use it primarily as face damage, and I don't like giving my opponents the ability to do the same thing to my stuff. Thanks though!

Commander decks are 100 cards including commanders. If you have partner commanders, then your regular deck needs 98 cards.Technicallites.
Maybe add a Wastes or 2? Especially if you have Evol Wilds. Otherwise you can only use displacer effect with scions.

For Astral Cornucopia, I don't think you can choose colorless (because colorless is literally the absence of color) therefore you wouldn't get any mana from it in traditional EDH rules.
I think Glaring Spotlight would help immensely.
