The deck is based around maximizing Phenax's ability with big butt defenders. The splash of green is to help us develop our board quicker, while giving us access to some removal to help us reach our board state and keep it that way.
The idea is you begin ramping with the green creatures while doing some early milling with breaking. then the rest of the milling comes when jayce and Phenax hit the board and allow you to get HUGE checks of your opponents deck. It maximizes the green creatures by giving us another round of mill with Kiora's follower, while the Sylvan provides some mana to activate Doorkeeper if we need to. An early traumatize will also lessen the amount of turns it will take to mill them
