Deck Description

Extended legal Grixis deck. Completely creatureless save for Maralen... and 18 of the 37 non-land cards cost only a single mana to play. Main method of winning is getting out a Bloodchief Ascension; dealing at least 2 direct damage that turn, my opponent's next turn, and my next turn to get all the counters I need on Ascension; and finally, playing more direct damage along with mill, counterspells, discard cards, and anything else that makes my opponents cards go to the graveyard so that they lose 2 life and I gain 2 life. In that scenario, with the counters on Blood Chief Ascension, a Tome Scour causes my opponent to lose 10 life and for me to gain 10 life. When it runs correctly, I shouldn't need creatures; I have counterspells and a variety of removal to keep myself alive long enough to get the combo running. Comments are welcome; even though I have this listed as a finished deck, it still may need some tweaking.

Deck discussion for One-Drop Grixis Terror

Sanguine Bond could be good for this. Combined with Blood Tribute for a win.
I still think some low cost creatures would serve well, just something to block, perhaps with deathtouch.

assuming you can get asention out turn 1 i dont think theres enough direct damage spells to gaurentee the 3 counters. and as for the countering 4 is not in my opinion enough and no creature? however i am bad at balancing counterspells with the rest of the deck, which is why i dont play blue. very nice concept but i think there is too much luck involved :/ how has it been playing
