The lands can be optional if you choose really, it's just if you want it to have a better mana curve when you are playing.

I like it, I think it fits pretty well, and it's all not too expensive either, good choices for a fun balanced cube.
your mana curve is a little wonky, but your deck is very solid I like it, If it were me though I would put 2 more felidars in there and maybe a few wheels to get you some card draw since your cards are cheap and your hand can run out very fast.
Seems a bit slow, I understand the counter spells are in there, and having 72 cards seems like a strange amount if you are trying to win in modern 60 is recommended, it still seems fun, but including a chromatic lanterns and get rid of the manaliths, and if you didn't know you can still have multiple copied of legendary creatures just to have a higher chance of getting one of the cards, and if you can't adding some tutors would be nice since it's 5 color and maybe another ugin since people tend to want to get rid of those really fast, the deck is just a scramble to me but it still seems interesting...
