wouldn't emrakul just go back to your library if you loot him, or if he goes to the GY in general for that matter? Not sure why you have him here if you can't fury him.

I'd suggest putting in a couple of spellskites in here, if nothing else it helps protect you from mono-red burn + shrine of burning rage.
although, what's the point of putting in the myr battlesphere? wouldn't heartless wipe the tokens out?
You know what, I was playing someone netdecking this same list yesterday and for the life of me hadn't any idea what hit me. I was playing mono red and ended up siding in 4 traitorous bloods and 2 ancient grudges just to survive. Congrats man, I was waiting you would come up with a heartless summoning deck. And, unlike all other decks that run heartless, I must commend you for not being overly dependent on it. Lots of decks overly rely on heartless, then can't function well without it. This deck does such a good job of being versatile.
Thanks, but I really haven't encountered a game when I wished I had Curse in hand. The deck wins by chipping away at the opponent with lowcost evasive creatures and getting within striking distance with burners. Your mana is at a premium until then to be used for counters on removing Delver, so I don't know if you can afford 1R for the curse. But, it's an interesting Idea though, maybe I'll try it in place of the swords. As for Lavamancer, he has counter synergy with snappy, so I kinda had to side him :). Editted the deck list's spells to include a LOT of other burns / counters.
I'd hate to be "that" guy but shouldn't it be WRR? =] And I found that curse of death's hold, despite it's heavy CMC deals with a majority of threats in standard right now (GW tokens, Mono-G WRR, even against mirrors, since it takes care of those pesky inkmoths).
Wow, this deck just gave me some cool ideas. It may all just be a matter of preference, but have you thought of putting in Tormented Soul for the diergraf, and curse of the stalked prey for the rakish, so he gets pumped as well?
thanks for the comment. Like I said though, my number 1 concern about the deck is speed. Not sure I like adding cards with >4cmc's (other than what's already in there).

thanks! Well, is GSZ still banned in modern? Man that was a total head-scratcher from WOTC, and utterly crippled this deck. I've been looking for a replacement, or maybe just redesigning the list overall but I've been busy with stuff. I'll check your friends deck out :)

yeah the architect stood out as a sore thumb for me on this list. Hmm, I still dunno bout the sculptor though, I'd like to test this first on cockatrice if you don't mind :) . Mostly it's cause, if you already have a couple of them in play, heartless becomes a dead card at best and a disadvantage at worst, with no way to get rid of it from play.
no etched champion? 1-drop protection from all colors is kinda nice. I also think sculptor and architect makes the heartless kinda redundant. Or vice versa, dunno but that's just me.
y'know what I've been racking my brain and there doesn't seem to be blue cards I can add to this deck aside from hunted phantasm without turning it into something controllish. And although phantasm looks like a swell addition, I dunno if it's solely worth splashing another color for. And no, I wouldn't put hunted horror in, 2 3/3 guys w/protection from black is too much. Hmm, "maybe" you could go for godhead of awe or gwafa hazid, but the first one is a massive 5cc and the other just goes against what you want your opponent to do, which is to attack you lots...
also, what do you think of putting in ghostly prison here? Though I wouldn't know what to pull out for the life of me. Cool deck :)
splashing blue and putting in a hunted phantasm sounds especially cruel :D
anywhere you could fit in Join the Ranks in here? Also if you're looking to kick rites of replication, maybe you could look into splashing a little green for Harabaz druid for the mana?
er I think Emrakul's extra turn triggers if you cast him from your hand right? Not when he ETB's via a special effect?
What do you think about adding in kiln fiend? I feel you could afford to drop coal stoker from the deck personally. Also, I find that double cleave, despite the additional 1 mana, is superior to assault strobe in this case. Being an instant, you can cast it after blockers are declared or if one of your attackers gets thru. Just my 2 Cs. Also, if you have time, could you check out my allies deck? this list looks nasty, have you considered pairing Order of whiteclay and Master Apothecary?
