Deck discussion for Apex Champion of the Fallen

Nice little superfriends deck. Personally I'd run Ajani, Mentor of Hero's just cause he fan filter the deck and help you get a planeswalker out.

Thanks!

Yeah, thought about the other Ajani, but he may cost me nesessary removal & when I sideboard more Instant/Sorcery cards, it's even more likely... ...the mana curve is also better this way...

Thanks! :)

I'll check your deck... ...though over white weenie, I'd rather prefer black muffin decks...

I wonder about that... ...but since you asked me not to bring my BUG-ControlWalker, I'll probably do... ;)

I'd definitely ditch a couple of the removal/utility cards in the sideboard for some Sylvan Caryatid on the chances you need to race faster or mana fix. Maybe 3 in SB?

Thanks!

This deck doesn't need mana fixing... ...as for fast aggro & ramp/midrange decks, my removal does the work & if those in the main aren't enough, I just sideboard more... ...the lifegain in the deck also helps me in the race & I've also got great blockers, like Brimaz & Courser... ...with Courser & Eidolon, I also have a card adventage against aggro & such wich gives me more answers in time.......

Caryatid is not needed in this one, though it's a fair thought since most of these decks use 4 of it...

Blood Reckoning?

Thanks, but that card is just not good enough... ...even against aggro decks, it's usually not so effective & easy to delt with...

Great deck and probably could win some local tournaments. BUT the cost of it isn't worth it because of the fact it couldn't win a big tournament. this is just my opinion though

Thanks!

The issue is the rhythm of the deck, so sometimes Selesnya, Mono-G., Gruul Monsters & Gruul Devotion can beat it... ...but it beats all other types of decks you usually see... ...this isn't my tournament deck though & I haven't brought the cards 1 by 1(actually none).......

Here is the one I'm usually using: http://www.mtgvault.com/poetmasterx/decks/devouring-flare-of-the-sun/

I personally would prefer Fleece Ram over the Underworld coin smith, gives you a better match up against aggro.

The Coinsmith is also a potential finisher... ...& against many deck-types, Raw is just not so good, so I won't be playing it in the main deck... ...as for the sideboards, I need all of it, so that's not an option either.......

Thanks for your suggestion though!

brain maggot for post rotation hand removal? triggers constellation and the fnm promo art looks amazing.

I'd have to take out Decay & Vreaska + adjust the mana base after rotation... ...Brain maggot would be a good choise, but I'll embrace the new set & quickly test it out, what deck(s) would be the most succesful & fun to play... ...so I won't be changing this deck, but rather take it apart & make new ones... :)

As strong as Junk is right now... ...& in Khans of Tarkir, there will also be a Junk colored clan & deck type which is control... ...I belive Junk will become one of the most effective decks post-rotation if not the most... ...midrange & control togeather sounds like Bant when Innistrad & Ravnica were present in standard, only this time, this seems to be getting even more dominate than that....... :)

I was thinking Junk superfriends post rotation. Anyway, do you mind checking out my work in progress BUG deck? It is monogreen devotion splash BUG colors for stuff like apex predator and prophet. Needs some serious help.
