Deck Description

Standard, B/U/G mill-control...

How to Play

At first, I thought this deck is gonna' be a little slow, instabil & that I can't protect myselfe well with the amount of removal... ...the test prooved me wrong as it appeared to be well balanced control deck that can score the win quite fast even though I don't have many finishers.......

The drawpower makes it competative... ...I lay my lands so fast & I also have quite some ramp in the deck... ...1-2 Mind Grind is usually enough, but it's not hard to draw 3 in a game... ...Jace is also a stabil finisher, because if I cast him after Granite, than if my opponent doesn't have a relavent removal for him, I'm almost garenteed a win... ...may be if I don't have a Hero's Downfall up my sleve & the opponent has a Stormbreath Dragon, I can't do it, but that's why I have more removal & counters in the sideboard.......

Within 1 game, if I cast 1-2 Granite at the right time & may be 1-2 Hero's Downfall on the right target, it's almost alwayes enough to protect myselfe until the end... ...& it's easy to draw more than that, since I have plenty draw spells & I draw them with each other most of the time....... :)

I like to cast Granite with Quicken, 'cuz it alowes me an instant speed wipe & I can surprise my opponent big time('cuz this is a rare combo in a B/U/G deck//yet//)...

Of course, Granite destroyes my ramp, but it's worthit... ...in time a short time, I alwayes have enough lands to finish the game with 1-2 Mind Grind without any ramp, may be I need only 1 turn with Jace to mill the rest of the opponent's deck away... ...the ramp is basically to spead the deck up in the early & may be mid-game, but I often keep some keyrunes in hand & cast them after my 1st or 2nd Granite to kick the Grind....... :)

Urban Evolution is awesome drawpower & it also helpes me ramp, even after I cast Granite, so it's a very important part of the deck...

I don't play Ashiok because of Granite... ...even against fast aggro decks, I sometimes have to use Granite for 3 to 4 cmc permanents...

About the sideboards:

Scavengint Ooze is to counter Elixir of Immortality... ...of course I can eleminate Elixir with either Negate, or Dissolve, may be Fade into Antiquity with Quicken...

AEtherize is nice to kick my board control when I'm up against aggro decks...

Fade into Antiquity is also nice against gods & stuff...

The rest I think is clear...

Enjoy!..
