Deck Description

standard, "mono"-blue devotion aggro...

How to Play

I know you're thinking: It's not stabil to run 3 Revelations with only 4 Fountain... ...but actually it works... ...I have so many scry & draw here, that I alwayes get the white mana in time... ...I've tested it & 38 times out of 40, the white mana were there, when I 1st considered casting Revelations, once it came shortly after & once it was late, but I could still cast Revelations in time....... - just to increase stability, I added 1 Azorius Guildgate...

I've thought of a idea to make the mono-blue aggro a little more resellient against control, so I put in counters & many draw spells to be able to build up my side of the board again after a wipe... ...I also decided I need life-gain, so I may have more time to build up against my losses, so Revelations is perfect here... ...with Revelations, I can also take adventage of the fact, that this deck type uses more mana than it actually needs(just because of Mutavault - need more mana to often activate it & also many of the spells need multiple blue mana & Mutavault can not produce that).......

Elixir in the sideboard is basically against Memory Adept... ...AEtherize is useful when I'm up against other fast aggro decks... ...if I use Hybranization, I'd also use the 3rd rift & 1-2 AEtherize, 'cuz they kill the token(of course I'd cast Rift for it's Overload cost, I won't just target the 3/3 token with it, if not nesesarry).......

Essence Scatter & the extra Dissolve is very nice, when I play all 3 Rift & 1-2 AEtherize, 'cuz I can counter some of the creatures I've returned...

The 3 Negates, 2 Judge's Familiar & the extra Dissolve are mostly against control(Negate is all about that)...

One AEtherling sideboard here is well enough, 'cuz I have way more drawpower, than usual mono-blue aggro decks...

As soon as the next set comes out, we'll have a B/W scry-land for sure & I'll add 2 of it to this deck instead of 2 island...

Waddaya' think of this?

What would you change?

I consider trying this in competative enviremant... ...I wonder what'll happen'...

Deck discussion for Master of Revelations

A t3 Anger of the Gods or something of the sort could slow you down if you are tapped out. Judge's Familiar could prevent that. Might 50/50 Raptor/Familiar?

True... ...& it happened a couple of times, when my friend used this deck on FNM... ...but 75% of those times, he came back with draw spells & lifegain, than suddenly rebuilt his board game... ...this deck is supposed to do just that & it works even better, than I thought... ...tough I still consider using Familiar in the sideboard.......

I started to remamber, when Zendikar were standard, that with Lead the Stempade alone, I could come back 2-3 times after a wipe(if I couldn't defend with Ezuri)... ...even when the opponent used 2-3 All is Dust at a game, I could still win... ...& so as I remambered this, I've built this deck... ...it's just a little slower & lower on Devotion than usual mono blue aggro, but it's way more resellient & I'd say better, tough it's still not 100% complete.......

It finished 3rd at may be the most competative store in Middle-Europe on FNM... ...a friend of mine used it & he only lost to a Jund midrange-control deck very similar to mine(1-2)... ...I also went to the same FNM & toke 1st place with my Esper deck... ...I've defeated the Jund guy(2-0) tough I've got lucky at game 1.......

Anywayes, I'll somehow add 2-3 Familiar to the sideboard, but I won't take out Raptor from the main deck, since it could get really big with Master of Waves... :)

Thanks!

OK, I really like the idea of Blue-Devotion to the Shrine and Revelation combined together! I think you could handle another Revelation in your deck.

Thanks!.. ...if I do that, I'd need a 3rd Nykthos & than I'd have only 1 Mutavault... ...may be it's better that way... ...I'll use 1 Mutavault in the sideboard for whenever I need more board presence & oppose a deck with wipes... ...I'll drop 1 Hybranization from the sideboard & 1 Omenspeaker from the main deck... ...tough, there might be a better card for the 2 remeaning spots than Omenspeaker... ...may be I also drop Divination & find something better... ...I don't like Tidebringer tough & I've seen it do the worse in these decks even at pro-tours.......

So then SB the Tidebender, maybe that will work.

I've done that... ...I also put Wall of Frost in the main deck, but it's not fast enough now... ...there isn't more 2 cmc/UU creature left in standard, so I have no idea how to fix this for now... ...may be I'll use 2 Tidebringer & 1 Wall in the main deck & the remeaning stuff in the sideboard... ...may be only 1 Wall in the sideboard is fine & 2 Tidebringer, so a total of 4 Tidebringer will be there & 2 Wall.......

Every deck needs some removal. Rapid hybridization seems perfect; if your deck is rolling, target Thassa for a 3/3 for 1 with flash; if you really need to get rid of a problem, it is 1 mana.

Yup, I'm using Hybranization for that perpouse, but I still chose to run Cyclonic Rift in the main deck instead... ...it gives me the chanse for an all out attack when I overload it...

...these blue devotion decks doesn't really have removal mainboard & that's their weak spot... ...also, the creatures themselves ain't strong enough without each other, that's why I need lots of draw(I have to be able to rebuild my boardgame after a wipe)...

...tough I've considered using Hybranization mainboard, I can not take out anything... ...still, I've never ren constant tests on how it would work out, if I'd use 2 Hybranization mainbard & 2 Rift sideboard & a 3rd Hybranization in the sideboard... ...I'll do that & if it's better that way, than I'll change the deck.......Í

Thanks for your suggestion!..
