Deck Description

GWB treefolk for extended... Interesting mana-base... With Catacombs or Harbringer you can search for any land, except "Sunpetal Grove"... This deck is hella' strong, fast & stabil... also quite destructive & pretty resellient... (There is no need to search for land with Harbringer in this deck ):)

Deck discussion for Treefolk of Alara

Very awesome. I've never seen a treefolk deck before.

This is very cool, I may have to try to reproduce this. Have you had much luck with it?

I like the deck!

My concern though is that almost 70% of your spells cost 3 CMC or more. Have you had much trouble with slow starts? It seems like you could get overrun by swarm tactics or combo before you really get going. Once it gets going though it looks like you should be in command (although mass removal would definately hurt). Overall though I like it!!

Mass removal doesn't hurt that much with the Protector on board... U C, Banneret reduces the cost of shamans & treefolks & Leaf-Crowned is both, so U can cast it for 2 mana... I usually search for Banneret with Harbringer at the beginning, if I have to...

This deck always beat up my elf :) ...

I don't believe the Banneret works that way. I'm pretty sure it looks for at least one of the requirements for the lowered cost, so how many times it satisfies that does not matter, it would still only receive the reduction once per Banneret.

It does work that way, I know it for a fact... It's logical anywayes, but it's officially like that...

Reducing it as a shaman & reducing it as a treefolk... it's like for example, if a creature U sacrifice is green & also black, than "Savra, Queen of the Golgari"'s triggered abilities both activate & U could make an opponent sacrifice a creature without paying 2 lives....

...or, if something sayes "white spells & blue spells cost 1 less to cast", than a multi color spell costs 2 less to cast...

Yep... U were right... Still, it's pretty effective & U could play the elder only on 3rd turn anywayes :) ...
