Hail Your New Frog Overlords

by Prizrak on 10 March 2011

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Clearly the most fearsome of the biblical plagues.

Game Plan: Turn your opponent's creatures into frogs, gain control of them, eat flies, hop around a lot.

Edit: Neat, this ended up on the up-and-coming page several months after I posted it. (It would have made it to the top if it weren't for those anti-amphibian racists.)

Edit: Wow, it just *cough* leapfrogged to the front page! Thanks everyone, it was a pleasure to build and it's great fun to play and see the reactions.

Thanks! And apart from the joke land section, this deck is ridiculously cheap... I think I have to buy the cards now to appease our new amphibious masters.

I'm the opposite, I don't have much practice optimizing powerful decks like your soldiers. ;)
Looks pretty vicious, though, and your UBR zombie deck is awesome.

This looks pretty fun. You might think about Personal Tutor to search out Peer Pressure.

Glad you like it. This is ridiculously budget, so I'm not sure if there's an affordable tutor effect I could use.

This deck is freakin awesome! I love random tribes. Maybe Adaptive Automaton would be good in this deck? idk it seems really sweet as it is.
Check out my Modern list:

Thanks! Adaptive Automaton is a fun card that's come out since I made this, but I don't think I can fit in with all the frogification cards I need.

This is a very clever funny deck. I love how you make all your opponent's creatures frogs and then take control of them in a variety of ways.

It makes me want to make a similar deck for sheep.

Are there any other spells that make opponent's creatures in other creatures other than sheep and frogs?

For example rats, slivers, bears, chickens, cats, myr?

Thanks! Try your hand at one - goat is one of the most hilarious tribes if you want to try that.

Check out Cytoshape, "Choose a nonlegendary creature in play. Target creature becomes a copy of that creature until end of turn".

Awesome! That card came out after I made this deck, but I'm definitely putting it in. Hm, what do you think, replace the Spore Frogs?

Yeah, ditch the spore frogs or Pemmin's Aura. Probably spore frogs though.

I made a chimera tribe deck with some old visions cards. I like seeing people make decks with odd tribes that don't have enough love. Changelings are very helpful for such endeavors. I find the prices the site gives tend to be quite high for some cards. my deck is pretty budget but for some reason the site gives two of the cards prices of 8-12 each when they are available elsewhere for like 2-4 each. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=244592 if you want a look at my weird tribal deck.

Heh, thanks. This has been my most popular deck since shortly before I made it, but "most popular" meant around 20 likes until recently =p

I've got a frog tribal too, although it's more about anything slimy. Check it out.

Nice deck, if you were willing to spend more money on it, I'd add Door of Destinies, Coat of Arms, and Cryptic Gateway. I'd also add Crocanura, Anurid Barkripper, Anurid Scavenger, Anurid Swarmsnapper, Bloated Toad, Chub Toad, Frogmite, Haze Frog, Species Gorger, and/or Whiptounge Frog.
