So i recently broke into legacy with affinity considering it was the cheapest deck outside of burn to play. A few comments on card choices: 4x Etched champion: this guy is a boss in this deck. Cranial plating + this guy = game over 95% of the time 3x Master of Etherium: this guy is good no doubt but id almost rather have champion. but still a good card 4x Mox Opal: the chance of drawing multiples of this outweighs the chance of drawing at least 1 in every game this card can save some hands that were a bit shaky 3 galv blast/ 2 dispatch: the blast is better cause i can point 4 damage to the dome with blast but dispatch gets rid of goyfs and other creatures that are either bigger than mine or just hard to deal with. really nice against reanimator (which is why there is more in the board) 3 tezz: he digs, he makes etched champion big, and his ultimate is usually game over 4 thoughtcast: could easily be replaced with stealshaper's gift but i dont own 4 of that card. thought cast isnt bad, its nice to draw 2 for one blue mana the land split: darksteel citadel is indestructible so it cant be wastelanded, and the color split seems to work for now, i havent had a problem with colors so far but im sure the numbers can be improved sideboard: 2x tormod's crypt and 2x grafdigger's cage: i like a nice split of my graveyard hate. the cage stops not only graveyard decks but also stops green sun zenith. the crypt is good cause its free to cast and activate 4x ethersworn canonist: combo hate and it turns off snapcaster mage 2x pithing needle: a multi-purpose tool that stops alot of good cards. my personal favorite is naming jace the mind sculptor or batterskull 3x duress: i dont have enough money for thoughseize so this is what im using right now. its treated me well so far nabbing lightning bolts to force of wills to jace 2x dispatch: mostly bring this in against goyfs and other creatures that are bigger than my guys thoughts? comments?
