Yeah it's a douche to play against :>
Especially in a stompy metagame. If you're going against a counter-heavy deck, sideboard in a few counters of your own.

Interesting take on Slivers. I like the variety :)

Just a few suggestions though.
Amoeboid Changeling pretty much does nothing for this deck. It's a 2-drop sliver for 1/1. His slot can be filled with a sliver that would help the others more.

Being an ex-sliver player myself, I think you ought to reduce the amount of clunky slivers since you want to be playing fast.
You lack a lifelink sliver. Perhaps consider Essence or Syphon Sliver :)

I also suggest Harmonic Sliver (even if sideboarded). It's a must against certain decks. Good luck!

@antalius11 Thank you for the constructive input. If you wish to deviate from budget to make the deck a bit more competitive you should indeed swap out O-Rings for Detention Spheres. Porphyry Nodes looks badass too. I'll definitely check it out.

Holy day is decent. It's a bit of a conditional card and I feel that Azorius Charm is more effective since it results, in damage prevention, a bounce, AND a repeat draw of the same card for your opponent.

@Bfrick2 Nice suggestion. I play in modern though. Perhaps a similar card will be reprinted in the next set :P

@guslto Thanks for your input. I play in modern so I'll have to pass on the Wall of Tears. Counterspells like Mana Leak or Render Silent are currently being tested.

I like the concept. Ensnaring bridge is an amazing artifact.
Perhaps fireball or devil's play would be more effective than disintegrate :)

Good call on the counterspells. Freed from the Real, however, leaves me open to 2-for-1 so I don't think I'll run it.

Update: Playtested fiend hunters. While effective against some decks, they die too often for me to rely on. Jdfryer is right. Sphinx is simply fits this deck better.

I cannot validate replacing Sphinx of Jwar isle with Fiend Hunters. Thank you for the input though!

I agree with the above comment that hero's demise is a viable option. Good Esper feel.
Nice deck overall :)

Gideon works because they have to tap out just to declare attackers (usually just one or two).
THEN you tap the biggest threat or block with Foggy, so you take little to no damage.

Good concept! The curve lacks a couple 3-drops though. Consider another Domri over Garruk.

Same as above. I'll run the Paths in sideboard against decks with quick bothersome creatures.

Hmmm good idea but I don't think eight cards with 5 CMC would do the deck any favors.

Telepathy however... I'm thinking on how to use that best. Thanks!

Thank you both. Path is definitely a viable option :)
The dual lands will definitely help if you have a bit of spare cash.

Gideon has saved my butt a number of times but I see your point.

I'll try your revisions. This deck welcomes more draw. Thanks! :D
