Ty ty. Tandem is a bit of a gamble, but you can eliminate a lot of drawback by simply playing it on a tapped out opponent. A great budget card all around. Pretty crazy if it keeps slipping through.

This deck seems to run very fast and reuse splice for midrange effect as well.
I'm not too sold on Young Pyromancer... He'll give you maybe 3-4 1/1s that will die to any blocker (if pyro even lives).

Good deck though! If you're not on a budget you may want to playtest Vexing Devil (browbeat jr.) and/or Goblin Guide (tempo), and of course Lightning Bolt.
Good sideboard cards may include skullcrack and pyroclasm :)

@SharpRaptor
Oh yes. If it is the Tandem, he is correct. Tandem is best used with looter, faerie impostor, geist, or cloudfin.

Modern is the format wherein all sets 8th Ed and newer are permitted.
The playable sets do NOT phase out; it is good for players who are tired of constantly having to re-spend every time standard rotates ;)

@JaceTheMindSculptor The rules text says you need to return any UNBLOCKED attacker to your hand.
So long as your thopter flies over, he is an unblocked attacker and hence, a ninja can take his place via ninjutsu.

Hmmm Familiar's Ruse does seem viable! It's a toss up. Sometimes I want to bounce my things, sometimes I don't.
But thanks for the suggestion. I'll test it out! :) If you want me to rate any of your decks, just toss me the link.

No problem. Yeah those would definitely have a place if they were modern legal.
Thanks for the feedback :)

Thank you for commenting on my Lockdown deck. I too like the feel for this deck.
However, things like heavy mattock, selhoff occultist (will usually only mill 2 or 3), crosstown courier (easily blocked and always dies), and dreadwaters (4-7ish mill for four mana is a bit slow) seem a bit slow/unreliable IMO.

I think you should consider more copies of the better mill cards:
Hedron Crab--> Solid little guy. Mill for the entire game.
Tome Scour --> Five for 1cmc. Pretty decent.
Thought Scour --> It's a one drop instant cantrip that replaces itself and mills 2. Nice.
Traumatize --> Yes it's a rare. But it's a cheap rare and I think the deck could use heavy mill cards.

Good luck!

Hmm interesting combo. Does it happen reliably tho? There's only one copy of each. Funny if it does happen though xD
Yeah having fun is what it's all about, don't worry :P

@Skyboy289:
Hmm interesting. As a matter of fact I do think that vampires are currently more broken than werewolves. They just tend to be unreliable or a tad bit slow. However I thank you for the suggestion. It seems like a fun idea!
I'll check if there are any werewolves I like during the week and perhaps I'll be able to churn something out.
PS: Werewolves only? What about wolves as well? :)

Hmm. Enchanted Eve is a bit slow and usually by the time you get Sphere of Safety out, there are going to be at least 3 other enchantments on the field so it'll be a bit redundant.
Although... a copy or two of Grand Arbiter might not be a bad idea :)
Thanks for suggesting!

Anyone can make a broken deck, but I prefer the challenge of making a playable deck while under a budget :) Thanks for the input!

I'm a casual player so the decks I go against are often budget and rarely make use of huge reanimations or broken new cards. But I see your point. If you want to play in modern, you may want to stick with it, or pyroclasm if needed. You may also want to check out Propaganda against weenie decks :)
