Deck Description

miracle grow was one of the most effective decks of all time. the way it dealt with tempo was off the scale and fluid.... and very few other decks in magic history can contend with it.

my deck is a little different. i can't afford to buy "force of will" or any of the stupidly expensive cards.

so here's my take on this very effective deck, but for the casual player.

every card in the deck costs 0, 1 or 2 (with the exception of rhystic study at 3) so this deck is fast. there's good card drawing from gush and brainstorm. gush is free to play and puts your tapped out lands back in your hand.
the trick is to lure your opponent into an expensive play and counter it. then they will be stuck.

nearly every spell you play will pump up your dryads. if you play them early, they become a huge threat and a game winning monster by possibly turn five, if you've been merry with the card drawing and counters.

ultimately though, you aim to use winter orb to bring the game to your level. you'll be just fine with your low-cost spells, but your opponent will struggle to put down any significant threats. spells that cost more than three become completely pointless for your opponent, because you can just bounce them or counter them. then their lands are locked.

the amount of land in the deck might be changed in the future. i believe 11 lands is about right for the mana curve of this deck, and its low reliance on mana. we'll see what happens when i play with it against my friends in a week or two.
