I've decided to try my hand at an EDH deck, and because control is so fun i've settled on Merieke as a potential general. Advice is much appreciated. The idea behind it is basically to either use the opponents big creatures against him, stealing or denying all the time, or barring that simply stopping him from doing anything until I kill him with what small creatures he has.The multiple cc spells (elesh norn, etc.) are mostly there because I have several friends who play Ghave or similar generals.

Thanks! I'm also considering adding a few cards such as boomerang, vapor snag, etc. for their dual utility in that sense. Is it worth it, or are what cards I would be substituting them for (whatever they might be) better?
