Deck Description

I always liked Storm and Ad Nauseam in modern. So why don't but them to together. So i did that and here you have the result.
It can need some modefikations, so feel free to leave a comment about the deck construction.

How to Play

You do the Ad Nauseam combo with Angel's Grace or Phyrexian Unlife. Then you draw your deck. After that you discard 2 Simian Spirit Guides and play Pyromancer Acsension. After that you discard 2 Simian Spirit Guides again and play all your Pyretic Ritual and Desperate Ritual. Then you play Past in Flames and play all your mana cards again. Then play 1 Grapeshots for about 18-20 damage and if your first Grapeshot got countered you got a second one.

Ceep in mind that you could only do this on your turn.

If your opponent isn't in a position to counter (or you have Boseiju on the BF or a Pact in hand), you can also cast Ad Nauseam at the end of their turn, & cast Angel's Grace during your upkeep. I like the idea of this, but trying to do the math is making me crazy. -.- One concern I have in particular is the need to cut the number of draw spells in half, to include other spells...you do have a lot of scry, so that may compensate, but it will also slow you down. I've never played an Ad Nauseam deck, but if I'm not mistaken, you generally want to go off by T4-5. I really would like to see someone test this...I always like seeing new ideas. :) Certainly, +1 for originality.

i am happy that you liked the idea of the deck but i have not played ad nauseam so much so i am not an expert on it. But in ad nauseam you don't like to interact with the opponent so i did not cut so much but i did cut 1 peer trought depth and 1 desperate ritual and added 1 slaughter pact and 1 path to exile to give us some interaction with the creatures. And i didin't cut out so much draw spells because i feel like the draw spells are needed to make the deck good. Especially serum visions because it sets up the scry for two turns. Because in ad nauseam the thing is to find the combo as fast as possible. So i don't really know what to cut and get in. It would be fun to have an real ad nauseam expert to look at the deck.

I apologize, I didn't communicate the nature of my concern clearly...what I meant by reducing the draw spells, was that you had 6, whereas the decks I've seen generally have about 12. If you want input from someone who plays the traditional version & can contrast yours w/ that, you could try approaching someone on the site who's also posted an Ad Nauseam deck...also, if you google Modern Ad Nauseam, there are decklists w/ tutorials to be found on other sites. Those are also the traditional build, so they might or might not be useful...agree, the most helpful thing would be to have an Ad Nauseam player look at your deck (hear that, Ad Nauseam players?). (Hopefully, the said-to-be-returning forums will be back on this site soon!)
