Deck Description

All creatures are vampires.
Bloodline Keeper spawns vampire tokens to use with Captivating Vampire, to gain control of enemy creatures. Both Bloodline Keeper and Captivating Vampire buffs the P/T of other vampires.
Vampire Nighthawk is a strong Vampire, with strategic value.
Olivia Voldaren can assist Captivating Vampires in mind controling enemy creatures if needed. She can easily grow in P/T, and can even pick of weak creatures.
Rakish Heir increases the P/T of all Vampires, that damage an opponent.
Stromkirk Noble is cheap, and can grow in P/T.
Stromkirk Captain buffs other vampires with +1/+1 and First Strike. Makes even a few Vampire Tokens a deady force.

Blade of the Bloodchief is a cheap way to increase the P/T of a vampire. Great on a Vampire Nighthawk.
Feast of Blood provides a measure of control. They have a great effect for their cost, and since the deck relies on stealing creatures for control, 'death trap' instants are not needed.
Lightning Bolt can be used both as control if needed, or to burn down the opponent.
Curse of Stalked Prey gives the opponent more incentive to block your attacking creatures. Its not fun to block a tough creature with First Strike or Deathtouch.
Curse of the Pierced Heart makes the clock tick in your favour against opponents without a steady source of life. It allows the deck to play less aggressive against those decks.

Black is the primary colour of this deck. even though the mana symbol occurence is near equal, the deck does function without a red mana source. Hence there are no mountains, red mana is obtained from the eight special lands. A single special land is all that is needed to field all of the Creatures in the deck.

How to Play

Get Blade of the Bloodchief on a vampire Nighthawk as early as posible.
Do not keep a Feast of Blood for long, unless you have a horde of vampires. Tides can turn quicly in MTG, especially with more than one opponent.
Attacking an opponent who has a strong defence is usually a bad idea with this deck. In time it can take away his life with Curse of the Pierced Heart and Lightning Bolts. You will gain control of an ever increasing army of vampires with time. And these vampires can be used to steal creatures from the opponent.

Deck discussion for Vampire Deck

Theres room for another Bloodline Keeper, swap with a curse.
Neither of the two curses is better than the other in general. It might be a good idea to have only one type of curse in the deck, and then have the other curse in the sideboard.
Curse of the Pierced Heart is great with lightning bolts to play aggresively against opponents without a reliable/steady source of life gain.
Curse of Stalked Prey is great against opponents who rely little on creatures. It also goes nicely with the rest of the red Vampires in the deck.
