Deck Description

Gifts is a deck I have always loved. Modern is a fast format, but I feel this deck has sufficient ramp and control to slow the game enough to beat UR Combo. Noxious Revival is especially good in that MU.

Raven's Crime is a ridiculous source of advantage, especially combined with Crucible (Retrace Crime and then play the discarded land), or Life from the Loam. I only play 2 Gifts because Gifts is a card you don't want to draw twice.

The card I am unsure about is Ponder. I'm thinking about using Inquisition of Kozilek in that spot, or maybe something else if anyone has a good idea.

Deck discussion for [Modern] BUG Gifts Aggro-Control

In Aggro-Control Inquisition is generally accepted as the better choice than Ponder. It's absolutely amazing against UR Combo, and can hit pretty much anything in all forms of Zoo.

I really like the design Joe, it seems like this should give some hell.

Is Thoughtseize banned in Modern? If not, I'd go with that...but otherwise Inquiz is the best choice. Your biggest threats are early-game stuff...so taking out 3 or lower is powerful =]

Would elixirs be worth running with Gifts?

Yea, that sounds pretty good, maybe over a Revival? Thanks!
