How has vortex elemental worked for you? I have a similar build with different creatures and lower curve. Had to switch it up got killed last FNM by r/w tokens

when i played vortex it was usually to get some control on the battlefield, to also delay the game enabling some more time to play my larger creatures like the stormtide. it has troubles with the token decks, but the vortex can act like a 1 for 1 trade off but the tokens die instead. i don't have much experience with this deck because I've only used it for 2 FNMs.
I'm going to add some to my sideboard with wall of frost to slow down token decks because they everywhere now
