Deck discussion for Force of Nature

Doubling Cube does good work in Omnath, as does Vernal Bloom.

Hall of Gemstone can shut down some decks, and Wave of Vitriol and Primal Order will gut some multi-colored decks with greedy mana bases.

Listen to this dude ^ He knows a lot and gives solid advice to boot =)

I'm currently re-arranging my French Mono-G Elf deck, and I know I have a copy of Vernal Bloom somewhere. With your already added Mana Reflection, Doubling Cube and Vernal Bloom are insanely good ^_^ Also, I've found that in most cases Nykthos will provide more mana than Gaea's Cradle - so I'll not sugget that one (it's also expensive as hell) only give you the advice: Keep you copy of Nykthos for when another mana-buffer comes along.

Also, there's just a bit an excess of Forests - I'd cut it to 37 - 40 unless you plan to add "Azusa, Lost but Seeking" which cardprice exploded since the new format arrived - Tiny Leaders - where you have 49 cards maindeck and 1 Legend in SB. Only catch is - if you haven't heard about it - the CMC can't be higher than 3.

I really like this deck of yours ^_^ Actually I'm on the hunt for a Primalcrux for mine. The current Commander I use, is Ezuri, Renegade Leader. I'm prone to make Omnath my C, but that requires some heavy changes.

Thanks for the advice, both of you. I did add a couple of those in place of Forest, but I'd prefer keeping a lot of them.

No problem, glad to help. And thanks for the kind words, Phoenix :)

Speaking of lands, I'd say absolutely find a slot for Yavimaya Hollow. Since you're gonna always have access to mana from Omnath it's really easy to use. Asceticism is really solid in most decks, too, and even more so in Omnath where you can save your whole army if need be.

Couple more things in thinking on it:

Protean Hulk is banned in EDH.

Birthing Pod could be great here. How many times are you sitting at 20 mana in Omanth but you can get past chump blockers, etc. Podding a Garruk's Horde into a Craterhoof would win the game. Omanth is also a great pod target. Pod Omnath into Nylea or Karametra's Acoylyte, then recasting Omnath immediately could turn the tide. Speaking of Nylea, she should have a slot :)

Same for Greater Good. Even if you just use it to sacc a dude that's dying to a board wipe or targeted removal anyway it's a good card, but being able to go over the top in a stalemate by saccing Omnath, drawing 15 cars, and replaying him immediately seems like the kind of thing that could flat out win a game.

I don't play Commander competitively. The only people I really have to play against are my two brothers, but one's at college in Tennessee and the other never wants to duel. So I build decks online. I'm excited that people are starting to take notice of them. One, my Storm Crow Ascending deck, even made McArtor's Mentions in Gavin Verhey's ReConstructed article last week.

That's sad and awesome at the same time. Great that you find inspiration to build, but sad that you have no one to battle. Have you considered "Cockatrice?" It's a FREE online program, where people test their deck,s, to boil down and/or improve. I don't use it myself, but many, where I usually play, use this program.

On the deck:
It looks good, however, there is one card missing, and it can sometimes swing the game in your favor : Sol Ring !
It should have been in P9 as the 10th. card.
Gamechanger, and you'd be surprised how many time, you start with it first hand.
If I were you, then I'd cut just a single forest for it, but it is entirely up to you ^_^

Don't be afraid to just show up at your local game store, either. I spent about six months with only one friend to play with, and for the hell of it we just started showing up at our game store on Tuesdays to play each other instead of my house. After a month of just the two of us another guy started coming weekly, then another, and now 18 months later Tuesday night EDH is something the store promotes and we've got probably 15 regular players. All because we just walked in, sat down, and started playing at the same time every week.

Okay, first thing first- can I use Cockatrice on my phone? I don't have my laptop right now.
Second, I don't have the luxury of a set regular schedule. I work odd days and hours, and when I'm not at work I'm expected to be home cleaning. So I don't think that's really an option for me right now.
