I like Collective Unconscious. I'll have to pick some up next time I order more cards

While I'm not new to modern, it's nice to see it in the spotlight since it is SO different from standard. In my meta, board wipes are pretty uncommon (thankfully) because my friends and I usually prefer to take the offensive :) My go-to deck is an elf warrior that can put out 11x 3/3 tramplers by turn 4. Seriously fun to play!

I'm really trying to find another top notch modern deck though. I've been building one or two a week online and I think I found one with potential. I would very much appreciate feedback on my white equipment deck so that I can continue stomping on my friends' decks!

Ok... I feel a little slow, haha. After looking for about 5 minutes I finally understand the combo. Is your plan to mulligan if you don't see curio? Or are you willing to try to top deck it?

Take a look at Mercy Killing. I run it in my elf deck and it is a hands down game winner for me. I think it would fit nicely in this deck too. If you don't mind taking a look at my deck, I'd appreciate it.

Seems slow to me and with only 16 creatures in the whole deck, I wonder how often I could even pull it off. On top of all that, it's an enchantment so it doesn't even count towards metalcraft :(

I would trade out the Void Snares in favor of Silent Departure... I think the flashback is worth only being for creatures.

I would play 4x Faerie Conclave and 4x Creeping Tar Pit. Lose a few of the blue land enchantments and slightly increase your total number of lands (trade islands for the rest of the slots)

godsire has vigilance... you should be tapping it for the token at the end of your opponents turn after attacking with it in your turn

Umm.... unless I missed something the 2x Helix pinnacle are your only win conditions. Seems pretty thin to me. Maybe go in a bit of a different direction and use enchantment creatures instead. Eidolon of blossoms would give you some nice draw. You could take your pick of big guys... anything to give you another out if Helix doesn't work out.

Avatar of Might may be worth sideboarding vs aggro. Maybe also some life gain or protection? Something like Blunt the Assault or Respite

Really like the deck. You should look at adding Mycosynth Golem since it gives affinity. Bioshift might also be pretty handy for you too.

@BloodyBaronJAP - the fetch lands are in to thin the deck. You start with a large number of lands to ensure that you plenty of land early in the game. Because the fetch pulls an extra land card from your deck, each one you play will marginally improve your odds of NOT drawing lands later in the game (ie once you have as much land as you want already).

Puschkin is right about the Myojin/Dramatic Entrance combo. You will have to actually cast Myojin to get the divinity counter.

In most decks I don't think this card is fast enough to be worthwhile but you might try out karametra's acolyte. It is 4 cmc, but it taps for your devotion to green.... which could be huge for you, maybe let you hard cast multiple fatties in one turn. Might also work out with Genesis Wave. You would want to be casting that for 12, but then you would be able to look at 9 cards and put in ALL of the creatures you see...

Yeah the RR might be an issue, but I'm hoping that Axebane will take care of that. And I would very much appreciate if you looked at my deck. Thanks!

I don't think that wakestone gargoyle would work that well for this deck since all of the other defenders have 0 power. I was considering colossus of akros for another win condition but I feel that it will just be slower than burn spells. By the time I spend 18 mana and an extra turn I could just burn them and not have to worry about blockers...

I am a little concerned about speed and draw though since this deck relies on having several defenders out and at least 1 burn spell... Any ideas how I might speed it up? Or make it more consistent?

Would appreciate any input. I just put this deck together today. I'm going to be buying the cards I still need soon, so suggestions would be great

I've just started my own defender deck and came looking for decks to help tweek mine. Found this one and I'm really loving devil's play and genesis wave. Nice work!

You might check out Red Sun's Zenith for an additional wincon and Aether Membrane is a total BA flying blocker.

steam augury is a nice suggestion, thanks. think twice has been on my radar, I'm going to test steam augury first and might slot in or sideboard think twice if it works well.

I've built and tested this deck a little bit and it seems pretty inconsistent. Still a small sample so far but its hitting all over... too much mana, too little, wrong color. Often heavy on either counterspell or burn without a good mix. But when it does click it is sooooo fun.

With win conditions so limited in this deck I think I have to keep 4 runechanters in. winning without them is near impossible.... against the decks I usually see a turn 10 win is slow and so far this deck hasn't been consistent enough at control to slow them down every game.

cool combo. you might consider sylvan caryatid for a bit of mana ramping (any color) since you really need to get Ajani on the board asap.

Also my understanding is that Ajani would not trigger any of your "when you cast as spell that targets xxxx". Maybe you know this already, but you might want to add a few more spells after playtesting... imho :)

Looks pretty good. Playing 3 colors usually makes me pretty nervous, seems like you could replace white pretty easily and pay for Ajani with Mana Confluence and Sylvan Caryatid. Would vastly simplify your mana situation and help you avoid a fair amount of damage from pain lands.

Consider replacing your white creatures with maybe Cloudthresher (great flyer removal) or Feral Hydra (great mana dump).

Heir of the Wilds looks pretty awesome. Never underestimate the value of deathtouch, it can really limit your opponents attacking/blocking options... I would probably use 4 Heir of the Wilds (for death touch) and 4 Elvish Mystics (for the mana ramp)
