So, I'm trying to learn cEDH as my local store is starting to run some cEDH events, but my current decks, namely all my Praetor decks, can't exactly deep with with full-on comp decks.Time to make my own then!Basically blue and black are my favourite MtG colour pairing, and I didn't want to go into 3+ colours because then the land base would be more expensive than some of my Warhammer 40k armies. Do not get me started on them.While this probably won't be the final version of this deck, this is hopefully at least a good starting point for what I want to create.
Went with somewhat of a control theme, as that seems to be what just about all decks of this colour combo are. Basic idea though is to stall, drop and draw, or tutor out the various combos that just win you the game.Cards such as Sadistic Sacrament are here to actually stop other people from finding their infinite combos. I regularly verse decks such as Tivit infinite turns or Jeskai Underworld Breach that rely on very specific cards, so these should stop them in their tracks!There are a few infinite combos in here to end the game, as that is largely how this deck will go. Here's the ones to try and find:Thoracle + Consultation - Yes, I did just hear every single cEDH player groan at the sight of this one, but it's a 2 card "I WIN" combo that's easy to pull off.Top + Forge + Sculptor + Thoracle/Aetherflux - Featured in my Jin-Gitaxias deck, this little combo blitzes through the deck in order to proc Thassa's Oracle or Aetherflux Reservoir to win the game. No, I don't have Aetherflux in Jin. I am aware.Deadeye + Drake + Exanguinate - Generate infinite mana, go with infinite X cost card. Nothing much to say here!While it isn't strictly an infinite combo, shout-out to Sheoldred with Teferi's Puzzle Box, Windfall, Whispering Madness or Dark Deal!
