Deck Description

Early game you want a mogg fanatic or cunning sparkmage or cinder pyromancer or one of the other ways to deal a damage. Then by turn 4 if you have the proper lands you should be able to play rakdos. Beyond turn 4 if rakdos remains in play you should take advantage of the attack step to deal lots of damage to a player and during the 2nd main phase creatures you play will end up costing a lot less.

Deck discussion for rakdos

Okay, so I have a few suggestions.

1. Remove Cunning Sparkmage and Prodigal Pyromancer. There are better ways. Goblin Fireslinger, Goblin Arsonist, Tormented Soul Just to name a few.

2. Flayer of the Hatebound is amazing for this deck. Play it instead of Psychosis Crawler.

3. Living End and Living Death are almost essential here! Especially with Flayer! I would remove Essence Harvest and Syphon Mind.

4. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed! Remove Xathrid demon for it. Bounce all of your creatures with Living End/Death. With Warstorm Surge, Flayer of the Hatebound it'd be crazy!

5. Electropotence is a mini surge. Swap out Winds of change for it.

6. Leyline of Punishment is boss! Maybe move it in instead of Goblin Bombardment.

7. Lord of the void is sick with surge. Swap it in for Furyborn. Furybor is a little weak...

8. Beacon of Unrest instead of Phrexian Reclaimation.

9. Bladewing the risen would do major work. Nix Karavak for it.

10. Chromatic Lantern ftw! Scre coalition relic!

Hope 10 points was enough. =P

Thanks for taking the time to leave such a detailed comment, I will leave something on here later about individual card choices you have decided on.

So the lantern is not necessary in any 2 color deck, 3 or more colors it is almost a lock. The beacon would just be a one shot in this deck for the most part, at least I could get more than one use out of the reclamation. I will actually agree with you about the leyline, especially seeing as there is one player that you know very well in our playgroup that has a bad habit of gaining life with his current deck, the only problem is that I don't have that leyline. The goblin fireslinger is good, I see no reason to have flayer in the deck there is only one card that recurs creatures and it just brings them back to my hand. Taking the last sentence into consideration, if you take all of the points in your comment as a whole then it does make sense to use the flayer but I am trying to break them down individually. Mikaeus and living end don't do very much for me because I don't have many ways to sac the creatures I do have and why would I want to anyhow they are huge, plus I have not run into any deck that is heavy on removal but if I were to run into a deck that had lots of removal it would be nice to have such cards in the deck. The lord is decent, this deck is not a mill deck at heart but beating face with another players creatures could be fun. Bladewing is worthless in this deck, I am wondering if you meant to mention another card. As for the winds, that card is a 100% lock for this deck, I don't ever want to run out of steam or cards in hand because after dealing damage it's necessary to have a creature in hand to play at a reduced cost. People hate kaervek, I rather keep it in the deck so that players try to deal with him before they deal with my XL critters.

Thought I saw more dragons for bladewing to bring back...

Yeah, those bullet points interlock and work together. You would have to make the host of changes for most of the individual points to make sense.

I guess it'll do until you have to play me again though...I do like my boardwipes. =)

This brew will not be intact for too much longer, Phil says we should all build decks that wreck Paul. He will be in town this weekend so I have to work on something interesting to prevent a win for team Paul.

Using some magical hoar magic you should teleport here on Sat and play that deck. While you work on that, I will make a real deck and use something called strategy.
