Deck Description

There are some low cost ways to force players to discard cards and some ways to return spells to my hand so they can be played more than once. Geth's Grimoire + Words of Waste can be fun on a bun. I don't know, I am really not super happy with the deck as it is. I think I have it kind of focused toward discard but after playing it a few times I have not seen it play out like I want it to. It is a work in progress and if anyone wants to leave a comment go right ahead ... make my day.

Throw in a leyline of the void to shut down in graveyard shenanigans.

I would but the point is to fill graveyards with goodies so that I can get some good use out of the cards.

You are the main one that does that kinda stuff, so if I were to avoid playing edh with you then I would not have to worry about it as much.

Yeah I agree, sometimes wizards just wants to watch the world burn. I already looked at starcitygames.com. Thank goodness for house rules, a word of warning in advance - if anyone in our playgroup wants to follow the new rules don't bring magic decks to my house.

Why the leviathan? It seems out of place.

Jace's erasure would fit nicely. Bottomless Pit and Megrim also. Howing Mine is good Otherworld Atlas and Font of Mythos would help in the same way. (activate the atlas right before they go into the end step to force discarding.) Cunning Lethemancer, marsh crocodile are good creatures (return the croc to his own ability and its a buyback mass discard engine). necrogen mists and quest for the nihil stone for enchantments. also windfall.

I have wanted to build a discard deck, I am thinking my RB deck will be it. I like your setup, good deck!

No, the leviathan is right where he needs to be. The levitation takes care of the flying for my creatures. If I could only skip my turn here and there that would be good and use bottomless pit. I did not add anymore extra draw because I did not want things to get too out of control and have other players getting too much of a card advantage. I could have used temple bell, same as atlas I think. Yeah the lethemancer would be a good addition to the deck. As would the croc, I was going to use cavern harpy but the croc is better. The quest is kinda situational, they have to maintain the no hand part and that gets kinda messy in edh where people play group hug decks and what not so. The last time I played windfall was in a 7 player edh game the kicker was that I played hive mind the turn before I played windfall, nonetheless my playgroup has kinda banned me from playing windfall anymore.
